The Principal postures and takes a defensive stance about situations brought to her attention. They were dealing with a traffic light and crossing guard shortage this week and there was clearly not a contingency plan in place. They believed and instructed staff to tell parents they had done all they could. The Principal is not approachable. In addition some of the teachers are inappropriate in their communication with the students. They tell the children what they should address with the adults.

I am an extremely displeased parent. My daughter and I recently moved to NY to find that #1 There were no arrangements for registration during the Summer and no one to answer important questions until the 1st day of school. #2 There are no provisions for after-school care therefore parents have to find outside child care or make themselves available to pick up their children. #3 The administrors are extremely rude and are not helpful in the least. They are lazy and are not willing to find the answers to questions parents need. #4 Upon dismissal from school no one checks to see who is picking up your child. Very unsafe! My daughter WILL NOT be attending next year.

The lunch room auditorium & cafeteria are the same room. the children have no gym. the school yard is so small that during lunch time some classes have to stay in the lunch room sitting down. doors dont open until 7 50 or 7 55. each day is different. until then grades 1 thru 3 are alone in the school yard rain snow or freezing weather with no supervision. classes are way over crowded. during dismissal 4 &5 are allowed to go home alone. 1st to 3rd grade are dismissed inside or outside. you never know where so you have to walk around in circles entering the school one way & exiting out the other until you find your child. during dismissal they dont check who is picking up your child
