This is my son's last year. We have had 2 great years so far at Madras. The teachers have been on top if his grades. They have involved me in everything about him. We moved here from Buford GA which has excellent schools. I was worried this school could not compare to those schools however it has and much better. The teachers are very involved with students. This is an excellent school with great test scores.

I agree with other posters about the administration of this school. It seems teachers feel threatened and not supported by administration. Several teachers have left in recent years because of this. This used to be a great school in the past but is certainly not now or will not be until things change with administration.

My daughter is in the gifted classes and I feel she is getting a quality education considering this is a public school. The teachers have been extremely responsive to all of my questions/concerns. My daughter has a great pool of friends with excellent values. I have used both private schools and have home-schooled in this county. The only negative is that the curriculum could be more challenging.

Madras Middle School is operating at 50% of its' potential. There are teachers who truly care and there are those who show how much they do not care. The leadership or lack there of by the Principal is making the situation worse. Middle school is a hard age but caring teachers and administrators would help offset this crucial time in a young persons life. I have tried to make it better but unfortunately we feel blocked out too like the other posters here.

We moved from out of state and I choose this school based on recomendations from other people in the area. I truely regret sending my child here. From the very first day until the last I felt like my child did not get the proper attention that he needed from his teachers. I always felt as if I was a burden on them.. Teachers never returned phone calls unless I got the principal involved and sometimes she averaged 2 days to return a call. The sports department is very unorganized. The best experience we had was through the choir teacher. She was very positive and made things fun for the kids. They are extremely overcrowded as well. I am sorry to say that I can not write a positive review for this school....

As a parent I need to feel comfortable knowing that my daugher is getting a good education and Madras has really given her that. The sports department is another story but as for the teachers and staff at the school they really have made a difference in my daughters education.
