If you are new coming into the state this school will be ridiculously easy (like it was for me). The Nevada Education system is quite possibly the worst in the nation. The teachers at Findlay do not care about the students until they reach 8th grade. The 6th and 7th grade teachers do not care about the students at all. The 8th grade teachers treat every student like their own personal child and will do anything possible to help out. Due to coming from a different state i was taught everything that is taught in 6th and 7th grade. Most students outside Accelerated class' do not care about school but instead worry about who is wearing the newest Jordan's or KD's. P.E. is a joke. Parents are constantly left out of the loop on what's happening at Findlay. As long as you do your classwork with reasonable effort you will get an A in every class. P.S. Join AVID as soon as you can it will help you with the teachers and get you better grades because the teachers will know you more. Also get involved in after school AVID meetings and Student Council (which is honestly just sitting around talking with friends) so *as stated above* you can get to know the teachers and get better grades.

Clifford O Findlay is one of the best schools I can say their is. Teachers Staff The Principal are all on top of the education of the students and one of the best things BULLING is NOT TOLERATED in this school. I feel safe that my child attends this school. Findlay is also one of the cleanest school in clark co.

Clifford o findlay is not the best school ever and it's not the worst either. I agree with the teachers about the students that don't want an education and NEED TO BE KICKED OUT OF THE SCHOOL BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE ATTENTION SPAN OF A GOLDFISH. The teachers spend too much time dealing with them than actually teaching. Other than that the teacher are wonderful and that the parents of those students that misbehave shouldn't blame the school or the teachers. They should blame themselves their kids and should stop writing bad reviews about the school when MOST of them haven't actually watched their kid at school every moment. To support my reason the kids run in the halls and say inappropriate language. I mean I have gotten all A's in all my classes here and it's pretty easy ( I have all acc classes ) so yeah I rate this school 3/5 stars.

I LOVE this school. The teachers there are the best! Even if they seem mean. And trust me a few of them are. But they are actually nice. Atleast sometimes. I went there for 6th and part of 7th grade. Fortunatly I had to move. I cryed to sleep everynight for a long time. I am now a week away from starting 8th. And not being at Findlay is painful. I have good memories from EVERY day there. I love love love love love! this school. Yeah there are some fights but maybe one or 2 every 2 months. There are always teachers there to immdialty break it up. I miss it there and want to go back. I mostly miss my best friends. This school is the BEST!

The CCSD must stop the hostile environment we have the right to take back our school and community must never cease to attain this goal. Our children should not hate and/or want to leave their school take the problem out! Change our administration censure his actions call and complain! Do not listen to their "You must follow protocol" they are working at our discretion and serve at our will. Make that call..... 799-5000 ask for the acting superintendent's office and tell them the horrors being endured by you your neighbor a child or even those faculty who speak against sobaszek.. Get a public concern form demand it. Then the document must be addressed. Talking is useless they only have ignored condescended and swept under the rug any complaints. So go to the top demand action say no to protocol and yes to our children and community. Their is no leadership it is a dictatorship full of incompetence in the administration Intimidation and arrogance are the tactics. Safety should be top priority not at Findlay.. Education is woefully lacking. Only the dress code is important and adds to our children losing precious academic time. Admin is a steward not the owner!

This is my daughter's first year at Findlay. She is in the 6th grade. I have no problems with the school so far and my daughter has mentioned only one minor problem. She is doing very well in her classes and has 4 accelerated classes. She has 4 As and 2 Bs so far. I especially love the online ParentLink site to get daily updates on her grades and assignments. The school is very clean and organized. I have went to one Parent-Teacher-Student conference and it was done very professionally and the teacher showed great interest and concern. My daughter also attends the after-school classes for one hour and those are very helpful. She says the food in the cafeteria is good and she has had no problems with either teachers staff or other students. She did mention that she has been in the hallways that are used mostly by 7th and 8th graders and there seems to be a very bad smell in those hallways. The hallways that are used primarily for 6th graders is OK. Overall I give Findlay very high marks.

So to follow up on my previous comment... The Principal and VP and actually pretty cool people. We discussed my daughters hair and it does not pose a distraction to the learning enviornment. I know know where they will draw the line with the hair colors and we will abide happily. Glad they allowed me time to speak with them today!

This school isnt so bad I mean i was in acc. class and we were about the same with the lower class only our test were harder and we didnt even learn that the teachers do fall behind sometimes education wise its about a 2 or 3. But i did love all the varitey of electives you get to choose they had choir drama ( witch is currently down as far as i know ) Band orchestra dance team basketball team and Lots more.i have been going there for 3 years now in 7th. The deans aren;t as nice but if you do good they'll treat you good as far as bad theyll suspend like that. and its probly not as bad but choice wise- Great school

I have been very happy with Findlay Middle School's staff and programs. My son has had a wonderful Middle School experience. I believe success starts at home and you can be well educated with family and teacher support no matter what school you attend. I've been grateful to the teachers in there dedication to the children and quick response to any concerns I have had.

I used to be a student at this school for a year (6th) and I could BARELY deal with the painful aggression that the teachers had. I went to 7th grade and my teachers were just like the 6th.. No sympathy for the students. Misleading grades and worst of all.. complete morons. This school I dreadfully hated. My english and history teachers were the worst of 7th grade. My reading and math teachers I HATED in 6th grade. I only liked one or two teachers from that school my chorus teacher and english teacher of 6th grade. That was it everything else I have hated. When mid-October 2008 came around my teachers hated me for missing just one day of school. They also think "Family Vacation" is not a good excuse for leaving a day of school. I never got expelled but I sure pulled myself from that school and went right to homeschooling. I now have a chance of making something better of myself. The homechool I go to is a lot more child/teenager friendly. I recommend not to bring yourself to that school if you want to save yourself the trouble. Because every day after lunch I would ALWAYS see people beating each other up.

One of the *worst* Middle Schools ever! My daughter's gone to Findlay for 3 yrs. What a joke! They'll push your child through each grade no matter how bad they're failing. Teachers @ Findlay can't handle anything less than the "the perfect student" & it shows in their angry phone calls and conferences filled with their distain & irritation at your less than academically perfect child. My daughter is now 3 YEARS behind scholastically went from liking school to hating it altogether & now they're ready to push her through to High School after I've *repeatedly* asked them to hold her back to give her a chance to catch up. It all falls on deaf ears. My *daughter* even told me she's not ready for High School because she's so far behind and in over her head. And... NV educators (& parents) sit and scratch their heads in wonder at why Nevada is not only the #1 state in the Nation with the highest High School drop out rates but Las Vegas is the #1 city as well! Findlay has set my daughter up for failure for 3 yrs with their words & actionsn & has now soured her outlook on school altogether. Shame on them!! FIND A CHARTER SCHOOL FOR YOUR CHILDREN IF YOU CAN!!!!

My son is a seventh grader at Findlay. AS for the teachers of this school most seem to sincerely care and to give all the efforts towards our children's education but they like the children are hindered by dress codes faculty and administration. The school itself seems to care more about the appearance and noise level of the children then their education. As for the dean that I have to work with I find that he could use a few lessons in how to neutralize a situation instead of dominate it. Overall I'm sad to say my son will have to attend this school next year hopefully they can fix some of their administration problems by then.

I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with the administration in this school. This school does not care about the children or educatiion. They put blame on the children and try to make it seam like the children are bad. In reality the teachers and administrators are to blame for the failing in this school.

Horrible school! I DO NOT reccommend this school. The staff is rude and unorganized. I had a 6th grader at this school and I do realize he was a little bit of a trouble maker but the dean at this school would suspend him and send him home without even contacting me. Teachers and all staff do not care about the childrens well being. Kids are failing when the parents call the teachers in order to find out what the kids are doing wrong our phone calls never get returned. Every time I have come to this school I see a line of kids waiting in the deans office. This school is horrible and my child will not come back. I am moving out of my house just to get my child out of this horrible school.

I am sorry but this school is not very good. I am pushed around in the hallways and stepped on when in my locker. I am sometimes late because we always have to go one way. If we have a class left to us that is our next period then we have to go all the way around and sometimes we will be late. Kids don't be quiet when a teacher tells us to hush. Our teachers have low patience the food tastes horrible and dress code has to be exact. Not to light Not to light and no stains. Try no to send your kid here.

I ve came to this school for 2 years now. This is going to be my last year. I LOVE this school so much. I'm gonna miss my friends my teachers principal's and even janitors too. This school will alway be in my heart because this school made me realize my biggest focus ever. School work. )

My daughter went to this school from 6th to 8th grade. I don't have any complaint she did very well there. She had no academic problems. There were some kids who have discipline problems but if your child knows how to avoid bad influences they will do well. She only complained about one teacher who didn't like her but like any other school there will be that teacher who doesn't like a student I'm just glad she didn't take it out on her grades! Over all very satisfied with the school.

As a teacher at Findlay I arirve everyday at 6 00 am to prepare for the day and leave around 5pm exhausted. I spend at least an hour each night trying to contact parents by phone concerning their children's academic and /or behavioral issues. Most of the time I am uanable to reach them nor do they return my calls. Many of my students come to class each day without paper and pencil and homework. Much of the class time is spent on discipline- just trying to maintain order so I can teach. Most of Findlay students treat school like a joke and only see it as a avenue to socializing. This is my 2nd year at Findlay and my last. I am suppose to teach not police but that's how I spend most of my time. Findlay needs to eliminate the students who don't want an education.
