The HSPE is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Nevada. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.

This school has really changed in the past four years After Rael has taken over you can see the students change and willingness to succeed Overall the teachers that have been specially chosen to teach here at Mojave show amazing interest in thier students futures. the athletics are amazingly beginning to rise with Men's Volleyball and Men's track both competing in the state finals last year this is were i will be sending my kids to learn in the years to come.

Mojave High School has really changed. I am a freshman so I can only hear stories of how it used to be. But my freshman year so far has been AMAZING!! I love the teachers staff administration students everything!! I just want to say that those other reviews saying how bad it is are outdated they're probable from years ago when it was as bad as they claim. So do your homework MOJAVE IS AWESOME!!!

I have 2 students attend this school and I love it. The staff and principal are great! We just moved here last year and I really liked the way my children are being taught. My oldest child will be graduating from Mojave 2013 with her honors diploma!

Mojave has changed a lot in this past year and now as a staff that really cares for its students and because of this the students have changed as well its not a perfect school but its perfect for the progress its made!

My daughter attended all 4yrs at Mojove High and graduated 2009. Her counselor was great along with most of her teachers. The school was clean and safe. Mojave got a bad reputation it didn't deserve. My son now attends Mojave he will graduated this June 2012. He has great teachers and good counselor. Overall I would recommend this high school to any child. Remember you make your school.

I went to Mojave all four years and graduated in 2004. At that time the principal was helpful in success and was very active in the children. What was non helpful was the the teachers giving up on there students after they lash out. the classes seemed over crowded and there was alot of suicides and deaths.

my daughter isa graduate of mojave hs 2011 and past her all her profiencies the first time around and went there for 4 years and the teachers she had were great and the counseling staff was amazing and if more parents would get involved in the pac meetings which were very educational and kept you informed of what was offered and going on with the mojave high school they also had meetings to help with college and other areas to benefits our children they would feed you and have a big area for parents and maybe 10-12 would show up they offered plenty of tutoring i feel a school is what you and parent invovolement make it think mojave gets a bad rap because they offer a lot but the news always put the negative and not the postive they had a great choir and the cheerleaders did great even all schools have their faults and gangs are everywhere they start in elementary school if look at some of the documentaries they have on television or if you grew up in the los angeles area people are entilted to there own opinion but i thought mrs v was very good principal and if you got involved as a parent and ms miller the dean was awesome so weas parents need to get more involved

My second child begins his sophomore year this year the first graduated last year no thanks to the staff and administrators at Mojave High School. They are under educated under staffed and totally disorganized. I had High hopes for the new principal until it is the day before school starts and we have nothing but a start time no schedule no clue as to a homeroom and ....ho hum here we go again. This is also the third year that we get the option to going to another school nowhere near we live or tutoring because they cant pass the NCLB initiative again. I am glad that as prior students you are defending your Alma Mater but as a parent that has to deal with the staff they really should be ashamed!! Thanks for the Rant!!

I went to Mojave all 4 years and yes maybe some of the teachers or staff are not as professional as they should be and the education is not the BEST but if bashing and complaining is all your going to do then Mojave will never get better. People need to get involved and help the school out with little funding and no support what do you expect the school to be!!!! I had some great memories and wouldnt change them for the world and everyone one of my friends now that went there are successful bright young adults you have to want to succeed to do it!!!! And GANGS are not formed at MOJAVE!!!! If Mojave is too GHETTO for you maybe you should put a couple thousand into the school and help it become more then it is!!!! STOP COMPLAINING AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT

I graduated from Mojave High School in 2010 got great support from the teachers and the Staff. Mojave High School was very helpful to me despite not passing the High School Proficiency Exam in Science. They continue to periodically check up on me making sure I get the dates for the re-test.

Mojave High School Preparatory Academy is an excellent school. I am currently a senior at Mojave and have attended Mojave all four years. Our teachers are fun and the environment is safe thanks to our wonderful disciplinary department. I love this school and wished that the Las Vegas community would support our activities more.

I'm currently a sophomore at this school with a GPA of 4.0 and I just wanted to express how much I love this school! Our teachers are amazing and this school deserves proper credit. We are all trying our best to improve our school's image. One of our chemistry teachers is one of the best teachers out there and we are very lucky to have him working at this school.

My daughter went to Mojave for 9th and 10th grade. Both years she did horribly peer pressure really got to her; the staff was not much help to try to get her back on track. My daughter is now at Legacy High and doing much better she's been there for a year she s going to senior year and I see such an improvement in her attitude and academically as well. I know a lot has to do with the individual child but the school environment doesn't help at all. I hated the two years my daughter went to Mojave!

im a freshman at mojave and i love it! the teachers are all amazing and the photography department is the best in the valley. mojave always gets a bad rep. because its in the 'wrong part' of town but its a really good school. its vegas stuff happens your going to find good and bad stuff at any high school that you go to! deal with it!

I graduated in 2009. Mojave is one of those schools you either love it or hate it!! I loved it yes its not the safest but you dont live in an amish community you live in Vegas!! Vegas alone is not a safe city. If you want your kids to go to a 'safe' school then you might want to move out of Vegas!! My teachers there always would help me if i asked. But thats just it. Most kids dont ask. They wait. They wait til the teachers comes to them..and thats not the teachers fault but the students. In an older post i had seen a mother wrote her child has to fight for her education. Well dah! Every student has to fight for an education. Or we'd all be drop outs!! Mojave is a good school. and does alot of fun things through-out the year for there students

I am currently a Junior at Mojave and loving every second of it. As a proud Mojave student i hate Hearing and reading all the negativity.Yes mojave has it's faults but dont all schools? Mojave is making a huge improvment. I would have to say the only bad thing about mojave is the principle. She has made absolutly no effort on helping mojave.None what so ever. Are Dean Ms.Miller is AMAZING.Shes Very caring with the student.Shes are Dean and Principle in students eyes=)

this school does not have good teachers. the staff members dont treat you with respect. they are close to an animal farm it is not sanitary for the kids that attend this school. there era to many fights there constantly. especialy durring test days. donot takes ur kids to this school unlease ur willing to have your child not graduate.

I am currently attending mojave it is my senior year and it is the best highschool i have seen. I have visited canyon springs legacy shadow ridge and cheyenne. There are far more worse schools in nevada than mojave we do what we have to do to get our education. There are FEW students teachers who do not participate or teach right BUT it's clean. If you need help you have it even if you have to search a little bit to get it. Teachers that i've had will do anything for their students. If you think we need improvements HELP dont complain. ]

I currently go to Mojave and honestly I hate it. The counselors do not do anything to help the students and half of the teachers couldn't care less about us. There are a few amazing teachers there but far more who just don't care. I've been here since my freshman year and am now a junior and honestly I know my education should be a lot better than it is.

Mojave High School is by far improving. I spent only 2 years at Mojave High school because I was able to graduate early with the help of my counselors teachers and parents. I hate reading all of the bad reviews below because personally it takes involvement with the school - students and parents - in order to succeed. Anything you do in life you have to put forth effort and having a bad attitude and no patience does not help. I loved everything about Mojave. Sports were not the greatest but we had the best spirit and we never give up! The clubs activites and events Mojave had were amazing! Rattler Pride all the way!
