My daughter has attended this school since kindergarten and is currently in 3rd grade. NCA is a nurturing and supportive environment where my daughter has been able to grow academically and spiritually. Her personality is developing and she is becoming an awesome young lady and I credit some of that to the time she has spent at NCA. My daughter has had the opportunity to meet some amazing individuals--staff and friends. As a single mother I worry about everything but when I drop my daughter off at school in the morning I know that she is going to be taken care of by caring individuals who have her best interest at heart.

My daughter started attending Norwalk Christian Academy (NCA) in first grade. Now she is in second grade and I have seen such a strong socio and cognitive development in her. She was very shy and quiet and the environment at NCA has helped her build confidence and her self-esteem. The teacher to student ratio is low which helps students get the one-on-one attention they need. The curriculum is also a good pace and grade appropriate. I am very pleased with the teachers and aides. You know that these teachers are here because this is their calling. I would recommend NCA to parents and families that are looking for a positive environment and nurturing culture for your kids. It is private Christian school but the rates are reasonably low compared to other private schools in the area.

My son attended this school for several years. We were looking for a small loving Christian learning environment where he could grow academically socially and in the Word. The class sizes here are small but there were several other issues that led to us going with another school. Safety It would be nice to have someone physically present to oversee the morning car line and ensure safety of kids as they enter the front gate. Teachers Mr. Palmquist 4th grade is a Gem. He embraces all the students and their parents and as a result is highly respected by all. On the other hand Ms. Johnson 3rd grade teacher was observed screaming at her students on many occasions which is not what we expected from a Christian school. I have never ever seen her smile or engage outside her inner circle. Unfortunately first grade Teacher Ms. Anema also did not possess the warm and caring personality we expected to find. She also had tendency to scream at kids in her class which could be terrifying and intimidating for 5-7 yr old kids. She was also extremely reserved and detached from kids and parents at school events. Principal doubles as 2nd grade teacher which was not effective.

This is a wonderful school. I feel very safe leaving my child in the morning. He has only been there 2 years and has greatly improved in the area of reading. He also enjoys the summer camp.

We love this school. The junior high is the best at getting my child ready for junior high. Mrs. Chaney and Mrs. Vander Kerk are the best. The principal Mr. Pettinger is always willing to listen to parents input. A great school that really cares about kids. A+

We love this school. Mr Pettinger does a wonderful job of keeping everyone informed. The academics are excellent and as a parent I always feel welcomed on campus. I am so happy the school now has junior high. When I drop my children off in the morning I know these are safe and well taken care of.

My son attended Brethren from Kindergarten thru 6th grade and my daughter from pre-k thru 6th. I have loved this school and the teachers and staff. My children are well educated well behaved and love the Lord. I couldn't have asked for a better place to help me raise and educate my children. Thank you Brethren Elementary.

The curriculum at Brethren is Christ centered and very thorough. The upper grade children have the opportunity to go to various class trips such as Astrocamp and Genesis camp. There have been some drastic changes in staff in the last several years causing the average years teaching at the school to be very low which can be concerning. The school has had some rough spots due to this but things seem to be leveling out and I still feel it is an excellent place for a Christian education in the Norwalk area.

My three children all attended and graduated from Brethren Elementary School. The skills they learned there have been carried into their later school years. If a parent really cares about the quality of their child's education Brethren Elementary School of Norwalk is an excellent choice.

I attended Brethren Elementary as a child and now my own children attend there. I love that it has remained a school with high morals and integrity.
