I went here for four years. I loved the campus and the teachers. Everyone was super supportive and always helped me out. I will miss this school and all of the people there.

San Marin has been a very good school for my kids. There is a great numbers of activities for students to choose. The teachers are courteous and attentive. The students are given all the opportunity to excel to their potential. The Principal Mr Littlefield has brought new vigor and fun to San Marin and I would expect that the following years will result in higher test scores and more school pride. The athletic department has experienced a resurgence to a winning format in all sports while the music/ theater department is continuing it's long tradition of quality teaching. I am happy having my kids go to San Marin High School and would highly recommend that parents in Novato strongly consider sending their children there as well.
I am a parent of two incoming 10th graders at SMHS. My girls' concern (mine too) about this school is the two bullies that have been bullying them all through 9th grade with the help of their parents. The two bullies have their way of spreading rumors manipulating social relationships with common acquaintances/friends and promoting social exclusions. The administrator who happens to be in charge of bullying in this school is very ineffective. He is a former cop from San Rafael California. Former & current students I spoke with say that he is not sensitive enough and not well trained enough to handle this highly sensitive topic of bullying in schools. I thus rate this school in handling issues such as bullying in school as very poor. In addition the school is not diverse enough when it comes to ethnic groups. In fact I rate it simply as a white school. If you want diversity and safe environment for your teens don't go to this school. Novato High School may be a better school when it comes to diversity.
School has great options for high achievers and my daughter is challenged and in a safe environment.
San Marin has so many talented teachers who are dedicated to preparing kids for college and a successful future. My kids also enjoyed all the opportunities available through San Marin's terrific sports programs.
We have a great community that works together to help enrich the future of our children.

I love that most of my son's teachers teach because they love it - because they had a calling to do it. Go San Marin!

The school is driven to success in all areas of academic as well as athletics. The teachers give unselfishly of their time and efforts to ensure each student is able to achieve success.
My daughters have an excellent program called avid that help them prepare for college and let them visit the universities campuses. They also have great sport teams and great teachers too
My sons got a good education at San Marin H.S. preparing them for success in college. The academics were strong as are the performing arts.
San Marin High has one of the best performing arts programs in the nation! It has a relaxed attmosphere and the campus is beautifully situated amoung old oak trees. San Marin places in the top tier of California high schools in student testing every year. Last but not least there is great community involvement from students out to the surrounding area and from the citizens of the community back to the school.
