We have been very disappointed by our experience at Prairie Creek. It's a nice building but the education that occurs there is mediocre. The teachers our children had were average at best. This is not an environment where kids are motivated and the teaching lacks creativity. Children with behavioral issues are not dealt with and are allowed to disrupt classes and children who have been bullied are not protected. If you're active in the PTO your kids will have an easier time but if not don't expect them to get to shine. We have also found the communication from the school principal and district to be mostly poor. The funny thing is the district just got some kind of award for its communication but it is not nearly as good as the communication from the Olathe or Blue Valley (nearby) school districts. I don't know how PCES compares to the other elementary and intermediate schools in the district but we feel guilty for allowing our kids to attend this school.
