We opt our children into Fort Calhoun because it is not judgemental clicky or otherwise. The small classes are great your kids are known to everyone and most are all friends and are very accepting. No school is perfect but this is close.

Overall the school was alright. We have pulled our girls out due to the inconsistant enviroment I agree with the other poster about the Clicky and Judgmental status Quo. HOWEVER we also had an opertunity to have Ms. Cordes teach our older daughter and she is AMAZING>

This is my third child to have gone through Fort Calhoun. It is a wonderful open environment where the whole community in invited to get involved. My Children have received a great education.

My daughter has gone to Fort Calhoun Since kindergarden 2 of the three teachers were less than great but 1st grade Ms. Cordes was amazing. any child and parent would be lucky to get her! Over all staff is pushy and stuck up they seem to be always judging you it is a VERY Clicky town.

Fort Calhoun Schools both the elementary and the junior high/ high schools are exceptional! When we moved into the district we loved the area but didn't know much about the school district. We thought if we had a problem with the school quality we would transfer our kids to Omaha where we grew up. Not only did we keep our kids in the Fort Calhoun schools we think it is better than other schools in the surrounding districts including Omaha! The parents have much more say and control over what the FC district is doing because they listen to the parents. The teachers say they don't worry about discipline at all because the principals who know all the kids by name take care of it. The quality of what the kids are learning is excellent producing high ACT scores on average! Our kids will be well prepared for college!
