I have worked at several schools in my teaching career starting in the Harrisburg area and eventually working here in the Philadelphia area. I LOVE IT. I couldn't ask for a more warm and inviting environment. I appreciate being able to have the time and resources to get into the things kinds love most and explore new worlds through the Literature Math Science and Social Studies! I think our program is 1st rate! I think the testament for me is the number of students who come back after they graduate and say those two words that help us know we helped them grow into the amazing people we believed them to be! "THANK YOU" is all the reward I need for the hard work. We appreciate the support of students family and staff to make this place the special place that it is.

I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher working for the school. Immediately I was embraced by the administration and faculty. I served as a substitute teacher and eventually landed a fulltime position. The teacher turnover rate is very seldom so I immediately accepted the position and have never looked back. I have been teaching at CCCS for several years. The administration is beyond supportive and caring. The staff faculty parents and students are like one big happy family. The members of the school encourage parental involvement through yearly events such as annual Basket Bingo Penny Party and holiday and spring concerts. We organize school projects for the students and local community such as the Philabundance food drive Red Cross Relief funds St. Jude Research Hospital Pennies for Patients Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Alex s Lemonade Stand and volunteer at our local senior center. All members of the school are active stakeholders that contribute in their very own way.

I'm very proud to work at CCCS. The children are a joy to work with. Our school works very hard to instill good citizenship and it shows when kids walk in my room. Our teachers work together to communicate and create the best possible school experience we can for our students.

I am currently in 7th grade at CCCS. I have been in this school since Kindergarten. I am already starting to be sad that I will need to move on for high school. I have had amazing teachers and support during my years here. I feel lucky to be a part of this school. I hope to come back visit when I move on to high school.

My daughter just started at CCCS this year (5th Grade) and wow what a difference already! She has adjusted better and faster than I thought she would. I couldn't be happier with my decision to move her from public to charter and CCCS in particular.

CCCS is an amazing school. OUr children are in 7th and 6th grades and have been in CCCS since Kindergarten. The administration faculty and staff truly care about the well being of the students. We have never regretted our choice to send our children to this school. We wish that the school had an associated high school and will truly miss the CCCS family when our children move on.

CCCS is fantastic educational institution. Their teachers are high qualified. They have various teaching styles and meet the needs of their students through differentiation. The administration is very approachable and care deeply about the children who attend there. I am proud to be a parent of a CCCS student.

I've been at CCCS for eight years and I've never been unhappy with it. I think it is a safe learning environment and I love it. I know that it is an excellent school and I am a student and I can say that there is really nothing about it that is bad or anything. Every single year I've been there it has gotten better and better and I know it will keep getting better even after I graduate. The teachers and the staff are highly trained and are very capable of teaching the students. I know since it's such a great school that many kids want to go here and I'm very lucky and happy I do.

I'm a proud patent of two boys at CCCS. CCCS has excellent teachers and administrative staff who care deeply about the children at the school. There are lots of different ways for parents to get involved in school activities even for those parents who work full time outside of the home. My kids are getting an excellent education at CCCS and they are at the top of their class academically and socially. I feel blessed to have my kids enrolled in such a great school in the city of Philadelphia.

We have been very fortunate to have found this school for our son. He did not start at CCCS but he transferred there several years ago and I witnessed a different approach to his studies in a very brief time. The teachers sparked a new interest in his academics and as a result he is always brimming with new ideas. We have had discussions with teachers and staff and they are always ready to advise us on matters pertaining to our son. There has never been a time when someone is too busy to respond. During these very difficult times for the school system in Philly the choice to send our son to CCCS was a most opportune event for our family.

Cccs is an amazing school! My daughter now going into 2nd grade has excelled in her school work because of the hard work from her teachers and staff. The staff at our school is amazing they are always involved in all aspects of my child. My daughter has struggled with her reading in the past but with the help of her teacher and her teacher telling me how to help my child she is an avid reader. My daughter enjoys going to school and having a wonderful staff to greet us everyday makes it so much more pleasant! I wouldn't have it any other way CCCS is the school for me and the education taught there speaks for itself!! We are blessed to be apart of this community.

CCCS is truly an amazing-breathe-of-fresh-air of a school. Honestly I couldn't have imagined a better school for my daughter who has been a student there since kindergarten and is now entering 6th grade. Every staff/faculty member from the Principle to the Teachers Aides go out of their way for each and ever student as far or as deep as individually required. Their curriculum is outstanding and their teachers are all top notch they wouldn't have it any other way. They lovingly push every student to be the best them that they can be and to never settle for less than their best. It is an all around outstanding school and environment for our children.

I'm so proud to call CCCS my daughters school. The education she is receiving is beyond what I thought it would be. The staff is amazing as well as the other students.

As a self-described over-protective parent I could not be more pleased with the fact that my daughter attends CCCS. She started Kindergarten last year after never having gone to even a Pre-K program. The teachers and staff were beyond welcoming and made me feel 100% comfortable with her day-to-day. I've read older reviews that state there is a lack of parental involvement. I could not disagree more. There are plenty of opportunities for parents to participate. As a parent who didn't want to go the Catholic route and was terrified of a city public school CCCS is absolutely the best of both worlds. The classes are just the right size and the diversity of my daughter's class was amazing. There's only a few weeks left until school starts and she cannot wait!

As I'm about to enter into my Senior year of High School the only people I can thank are my parents and the amazing staff and teachers of Christopher Columbus Charter School. CCCS really prepared me for my years that I've spent at Central High School. I remember being the only student in my Freshman english class that knew about grammar rules; and I owe that all to the great teachers that I had during my K-8 years at CCCS. As I go into this next and last year of High School and even into college I'll never forget the fundamentals that CCCS has taught me and not only the scholastic fundamentals but also the fundamentals of having good citizenship inside and outside the classroom. So to all the the staff and teachers thank you.

My daughter is going into second grade this year at CCCS and my son will be starting Kindergarten. I have had nothing but good experiences with this school. My daughter loves it and the teachers are great. Very excited for my son to start this year.

Christopher Columbus Charter School was an awesome choice in schools for my children. They offer a great education from a faculty that is caring educated and most importantly informed. They have a wide variety of sports instruments clubs and after school programs. The teachers are hand picked for each grade. They set a fantastic foundation for my children to work independently. They teach them to be leaders and to be active. The curriculum has prepared my children to score well on their PSSA testing allowing them to get into the best high schools in Philadelphia. I couldn't have made a better decision. The principal wants nothing but the best and does everything in her power to receive whatever it is she needs for the school. She has only the best interest of the school and children!

My children transferred to CCCS in 5th & 7th grades and I wish I made the choice sooner. My son recently graduated in June 2013 and my daughter is starting 7th grade. I highly recommend CCCS for having excellent teachers staff and programs that prepare my children for their future.

CCCS is a Fantastic elementary and Middle School. As an alum I can say that this school was the best place my mom could have placed me. CCCS prepared me for high school I went on to Girls High with a 3.7GPA and went to College and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree and honors. CCCS put me on the path of success. Such a great school and if I had kids I'd send them there without a doubt in my mind. Fantastic Staff and Faculty.
