Conwell is such a great school. Now there are some Pros and Cons of the school like any other school. The Pros are This school will get you ready for the upcoming years in high school. I just graduated from this school and I am going to Central. The teachers here will help you out in so many ways possible the teachers do not want the students to fail. The students help other students out so they can become stronger academically. I went to this school and have leraned so much. You buld a family with the students and teachers around you. The teachers are not only teachers but are also your friends. Now the Cons Even though this school is an excellent school academilcally it is not in a great area. There have been a couple fights in the school. There is some name-calling. But in my opinion if you mind your own business and be yourself you will not have a problem at this school. So overall this is such a magnificent school and it is a true priviledge to come here.

Conwell is really great school. It may not be in the best neighborhood but the Recent Princible (Mr. Hoffman) is really great at getting the kids out and he tells them to go right home and come right to school! I'll miss MR. Hoffman this year he retired now we have a new principle. I don't know her that well yet.... But I'm sure I will. My Name is Lianna Enggasser and I will be a 8th grade student at conwell in sept. 2011!!!

My daughter will be graduating from Conwell this year and I regret ever sending her to this school. In order to keep the funding they recieve they do not report or suspend violent children. There has been several instances of bullying threats and actual fights that the principal and teachers do not give the attention it deserves. By doing that they fail the children. Its insane what these kids get away with in this school. But since there are no major behavior problems reported in that school they can boast about thier blue ribbon. One parent that I have befriended actually had to press a personal complaint and take a another student to court for bullying in juvenile court because the school would not take action. Thats just sad.

This is my daughter's first year attending this school and I noticed her personality blossom. She went from a very shy girl to a happy and confident young lady. It really brought out the best in her within a few months and she loves it. She said that her teachers explain things in a way other teachers couldn't and it makes it easier..however this school is in a horrible area. It's very dangerous and they will not provide yellow bus service. They expect children as young as 10 to take buses and the train. They also admit children with behavioral problems.

I am a parent and I agree with the other parent who said this school has MAJOR disciplinary problems that are swept under the rug. I feel that because of the acceptance of children that are frequently misbehaving you are putting your own child at a GREAT risk by enrolling.

I am a 7th grader attending conwell and I think it is a great school. Our teachers make it very easy to understand and when test time comes around we have no problem. I am not a straight A student but I know I could be with the excellent help I have been provided with by Miss. Golub Mrs. Fatuzzo and Miss. Hundley etc. Also the extra-curricular activities are great and give students a chance to enhance their social activity. I definately reccomend conwell to parents

my daughter attended conwell annex. i had to pull her out due to her safety they just swept everything under the carpet.I thought Conwell school didnt accept disciplinary children but they do.I do not recommend this school. the Vice Principal Ms. Glass does nothing. they cater to the bad kids. My daughter was a straight A student and had no clue some teachers don't teach.

My daughter just completed her first year at Conwell. The care and concern from the teachers to ensure her success was most impressive. She received individual attention and guidance and was given relevant feedback on assignments and tests that helped her earn the A's & B's I knew she could.

I am a student that attends Conwell. So far I'am getting good grades & is very happy with the students & staff around me. Even though the standards are high there are teachers to tutor after school for extra help. There's also many activities to do there.

I attended Conwell as a child and I thought of no greater place for my child to attend. I'm glad to see that the school is keeping up with old traditions and setting the bar high for new ones.

My child attends Conwel Middle School. I am very dissapointed with his lack of progress. My child came in as a 7th grader and had no idea about the math curriculum that is currently being taught. After we received an interim report which indicated that he was failing I contacted the teacher to let her know that she was leaving my child behind without concern. This school should have a system in place to identify new students coming in from other schools and not just assume that every student started Conwell at 5th grade and are familiar with learning rhythm at Conwell. Parents if you child is failing you should contact the school immediately.

I really enjoy going to this school. I am in the eighth grade and have the 'special' classes at conwell. This school have graet kids that i get along with very well. The teachers help you with your problems and make sure that you understand things before they move on from the topic. The school itself is falling apart little by little. Not to mention that it is in a bad neighborhood. I take the bus both to and from the school and all the time i have to worry. Although this has never happened it sure could. However the police have picked up the protection pace at this school. Over all this school is a great place and makes me expabnd my mind into many places.

My child has shown great progress during his years at Conwell. He has become involved in music and sports and has found great academic growth. He is now attending Central and finding success because of the preparatin he got at Conwell.

I think that this school has so much to offer. With the problems between Jones Middle School and Conwell they seem to be handling it in a good respectful way. My daughter goes there and she is about to graduate . She has done so much there since she came last year . The academics are tremendous and they have so many extracurricular classes to keep my child busy. I love the school and I hope this school will have so many more accomplishments
