Pennsylvania System of State Assessments (PSSA)

In 2011-2012 Pennsylvania used the Pennsylvania System of State Assessments (PSSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 11 in math and reading, in grades 5, 8 and 11 in writing, and in grades 4, 8 and 11 in science. The results for reading, writing and math are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The PSSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Pennsylvania. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.

The school curriculum is great but most of the teenage girls including the Cheerleading Team and their gorilla miss thang coach leave a lot to be desired. The female security guards pick on the nice looking young ladies the ugly girls seem to have some type of secret code to mess with anyone who isn't dark skinned and nappy headed its a shame the school is trying its best but it has attracted most of the project hateful and jealous types to this Cell Block H. Please parents if your child isn't marked up with razor cuts or bald headed do not send her/him here. It is not a safe place to learn I called the school numerous times to settle an issue but ended up having to seek outside help no response from this school.

My academic progress did increase but the only extracurriculer activities they had were sports like basketball volleyball track and cheerleading and the parents were well involved with the progress of their children and other children. From what I saw the staff was very loving and helpful. But with this school as well as others you have your pick of kids who want to act up and that is reasonable. The shool promised when they moved to a new school in the 06-07 school year things would be better for us. Thanks!

I am very pleased with my son's progress and the teaching staff. The teachers have taken time to help him and to make sure that I am aware of any problems that he maybe having.
