    Besides the fact that gideon is near one of the most dangerous neighborhoods it is one of the greatest learning places you& by far your child would be happy to attend.Gideon has a variaty of activities & after school programs that you & your child will really look forward to attending. Its a great learning place ) gideon is thee best.

    I love our school because the students are great and their parents are heavily involved. Also it's very family-like; we are all very close-knit!

    Despite being located in one of Philadelphia's roughest neighborhood's Edwad Gideon is able to offer children a level of education that will prepare them for top notch middle and high schools. Children are prepared to compete with the best!

    Gideon has a bright caring and hard working principal and student body. Together the school is striving to be the best they can be. Last year almost every class had their own tadpole growing almost from inception. You can't get much greener than that!

    Gideon has wonderful students a hard working and caring staff and we're led by a great principal! We've got Chinese classes drumline knitting colorguard and a seriously talented Chess Team. Wherever you look there are great things going on at Gideon!

    The entire school community truly cares for all the students. An environment has been created that children love to exist in. With an average daily attendance of over 94% students are not only here regularly but sometimes from 7 30am- 6 00pm...by choice o) Edward Gideon has a standard of excellence

    Teaching was variable - a few great teachers but many who were near retirement and disengaged cynical and unenthusiastic. Our child bore the brunt of that. Perhaps the new principal this year will helpful.

    Dont let the AYP scores fool you. Teaching the test doesnt amount to teaching them what they need to know to move on
