FINALLY!!! A Principal who truly cares and is trying to turn things around. Now if she can weed through the incompetency (SOME of the staff) real change can begin and maybe parents will participate more. With my son's teacher this year was a total wash unfortunately.
Unprofessional and uncaring atmosphere among the staff especially towards students with disabilities. It is a pleasure to know that the principal is retiring and hopefully the new principal will bring new ideas and a more professional and caring attitude. I suspect that the 2006 post was from an employee because it is ABSOLUTELY untrue (how was name included?). There were only two teachers (4th & 2nd) who were right on point with students and truly treated "parents as partners". For this to be a school named after a Mason it failed to meet their traditional philosophy.
Prince Hall is a great school.Mrs. Thaxton is a fine principal and she is a very pleasant person. The staff is great and friendly. My family has always felt important there.
