Great school overall. Supportive staff cooperative administration. Their budget is underfunded but teachers make good with what they have. Highly recommended.

Hurley Ranch is a great place to work and a wonderful place for children. Hurley has quarterly events for students and parents they provide before school tutoring and an afterschool program they have monthly assemblies Principal s List breakfasts every quarter and a PTO that goes above and beyond for the kids. Students work together with parents and teachers to create Student Action Plans specific to each student s needs. The office staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the Administration is always visible. Hurley Staff members are open to ideas or suggestions and go out of their way to help whenever and wherever needed.

I just have to say that I love the front office staff! They are so warm and friendly and take great pride in making sure the students and parents feel welcomed. Both the principal and assistant principal always seem to do what is best for the students and their education. I definitely would recommend this school.

My daughter is in 5th grade at this school about to finish her second year here. The school she came from was awful; there were serious bullying problems that the school never resolved until I pulled her out before the end of the year. However since starting at Hurley Ranch my daughter has flourished! She's had great teachers the resource teachers really care and the principal is wonderful. The front desk staff is a little 'stand-offish' but I have no complaints overall. As a matter of fact my husband and I are separating and I'm looking for a home in the same area only so my daughter can continue attending this school.

This school is horrible!!! I was waiting to see how the school year would go for my children before coming to any conclusions. The teachers in the higher grades have no idea on how to control their pupils. I went into my child's class one day it was like walking into a zoo. Wild!! I actually felt sorry for his teacher. Not to mention the front office staff. Talk about rude impersonable people. Their noses are so high up in the air you would actually think they own it.

I'm not sure why so many parents are complaining about this school. I guess that the unhappy ones are the first to point the finger. I've seen other parents yelling at teachers and staff in front of the kids and trying to find blame in the staff for their child's behavior. As a parent watching these other parents not making their children be responsible for themselves is what makes these kids even worse! Overall this school has an awesome front office staff principal and the most devoted teachers I've seen. Yes they don't have a lot of funding (like the rest of the state) but they buy things out of their own pockets and encourage donations. We are all here to make sure the kids succeed parents and teachers need to start working together instead of playing the 'blame game!' Great school!

I am very happy with this school. The staff/teachers/adminstration are a wonderful group of people. They all take the time to help the students with anything that they need. The teachers make themselves available if you have any concerns and the principal and asst. principal are also there if you have any other concerns. There needs to be more parent involvement in the school to help enrich the learning process.

I am throughly disappointed in this school. There are obviously money issues and I feel sorry for the staff/teachers/administrators that are trying to work under the current conditions as it seems it is an impossible obsticle to overcome. But who wants to see their child's education suffer because of that? Basically there are some good caring teachers but the school is ridiculously overcrowded and underfunded. I have had issues with a teacher ignoring my requests for a meeting and/or a phone conversation on my son's progress for over 2 weeks. Not until the vice-principal was contacted did this teacher have the courtesy to call. She said she was too busy to even use the bathroom during school days much less to call. When I volunteered to help in the class she declined citing 'confidentiality issues'. This school seems to be a sad scary drop-off/daycare for forgotten kids.

My child has gone to this school for 2 years now. She is currently in 2nd grade. If not for her teacher this year she would have been pulled long ago. The teachers at this school try to do what they can with the limited amount of resources they have.

First year my son attended he had 4 different teachers. He had 4 bullies at one point. Moving here from CA I thought it'd be different but schools seem to be worse. They seriously need more structure and discipline for these kids and their parents which ultimately is where the violence derives from. So far this year has been okay.

I have a 3rd grader and came from a highly performing school near carefree. I was so nervous because of how poorly this districts schools are rated. However I have been very impressed so far.with the exception ofthe meal plans they are very limited in what they serve. I will be sending her own lunch.

Pulled my child from this school. Transportation issues it's a blame game. Teaching is less than average! I was shocked at what my 4th grader brought home. I feel sorry for those children still there. The teacher amazing! Sweet and caring will miss her drive and determination the school however needs some serious work!

Hurley Ranch is an awesome school as a parent I have seen my child learn tremendously and have seen him become a more motivated reader and am thankful for the great staff on board.

The school definately shows how much they care for their students and their families.

The special ed department is NOT on the ball at district level which makes it hard for the special ed teachers to do their job. They do not call you back despite repeated messages and are slow to implement any services. I think this school needs to be looked at by the state. I am not impressed at all.
