South Ridge has been more than just a school too me for the last four years. It has been my home. A home where every single studetn has been valued as an equal a home where every staff and teacher has guided be to the correct course. I have grown up with a graduating class that has learned from the bottom what it means to be a contributing member of society. Each and every action that I do after the school will not only better me as a person but will soon better society as a whole. South Ridge is filled with my heart with warm memories and experiences. It was a fun four years with the proper amount of growth on my mind. The school has created varies oppertunities for me that make my future bright and successful. SouthRidge is the place I will always remember for not only being oneof the greatest high schools ever but for being one of the most comforting homes ever.

This school is great! I attended South Ridge for all four years and with the dedicated staff I have grown so much. Whenever you need help the teachers are always there; and also the great office staff helps students make an easier transition from high school to college; and with the high standards on academics it ensures that you excel in college. Thanks to South Ridge I have made a smooth transition to college with a scholarship that will pay for my tuition.

This school year has been filled with many changes at the school. As a parent I am not sure the changes have been for the better. I have noticed a more relaxed attitude that in my opinion will not push students to do their best. Before my child knew that everyone from the teachers to administration would be on him if he did not do homework or follow the rules. It seems this current administration is more worried about changing dress code policies and having tank-top tuesdays than keeping the rigor that I always appreciated. I am researching other schools in the area that are keeping up with the college preparatory curriculum and may withdrawing my son. I would encourage others to really do their research and think hard before sending their child to this school.

I feel that the school is lacking without the leadership of former principal Clark. While the new principal certainly has a plan...I think....I'm not sure if South Ridge will prepare students for college and life-long learning as the former principal did. The atmosphere of the school now is much more "laid-back" so to speak and the air of expectation has changed. I'm glad to see more emphasis on athletic programs but I would hate to see the culture change from "what students need" to "what students want."

I went to this school back in 2006. I was the first graduating senior class. I still visit this school today because it was the best I ever been too. Its very safe challenging and fun to be there. Both teachers and principal (Clark) wants the best for each students on campus. They like to push each students to do better because they believe all children can be very successful. I'm deaf I was pushed to succeed and was never picked on by others. I was well respected by all that surrounded me. I definately recommend any parent to send their child here for the best. I hope I can send my son there when he gets old enough )

Yeah srhs is a small high school with little over 500 people but this school by far is the best school I have ever been to in phoenix. They won't take falling as an option they teachers truly do care and the principal is the best principal any school could ever had. Every students opinion is welcomed. The students are all friendly and welcoming. I love this school. Its the best school ever created...beside harvard. Yeah it might not have a gym or aditorium but it doesn't matter cause its not needed. I would recommened this school to every teen who plan on doing something big with there life.

It is true that this school cares about its reputation. However don't we all? The reputation at SRHS is one defined by great students great teachers and a superb administration. I am tempted to say that it goes beyond a reputation and is truly a fact. The reason why we have this reputation and most importantly the reason why we take of it is because we all- everyone- works hard to make SRHS a place where kids who would otherwise not be pushed and allowed to reach their highest potential a place where they can and do just that. There are some things that students know SRHS does not have such as a gym. Yet once a new student is completely dialed in at South Ridge. Once he/she takes his/her first class all the trivial things lose significance. This is a school that demands industrious passionate and dedicated commitment from everyone.

My daughter attends south ridge and it is the best of the best. No messing around strong boundaries rules expectations for success. The kids are expected to be responsible and are held to a high standard. Simple the best preparation for college and life. God bless them all

I can't believe anyone could have anything bad to say about South Ridge. Maybe some students just don't like being held to high expectations and told to work hard. My daughter is a 9th grader here and this is the only school I would trust to prepare her for college. Any student would be lucky to attend here.

South Ridge is not a school I would recommend. All they seem to care about is getting money and their reputation. Its like they don't let students live a real HS expirience. They have outrageous rules. I wouldn't go back even if they paid me. Any student can succeed at any school not just here.

I can't believe my son will be graduating this year. The last 3 years have motivated and helped my son tremendously to be prepared for what lies ahead. Thank you and keep up the good work.

I have been teaching at Southridge for 4 years and I have seen lives transformed there. Southridge is in a low income neighborhood and the area is seen as not very good. Many people think that the kids from this area are never going to get anywhere. I'm here to tell you...our kids are superstars! I have seen kids who didn't have a chance to succeed in large school become honors students at Southridge. Our small campus and caring administration has truly changed this area for the better. 100% of our 2008-09 graduates are going to college. Our standarized test scores are high. If you are looking for the best school for your determined child this is it! Don't let the word 'charter' scare you off. We are a college prep school and I am proud of my school students and administration.

I love this school it has changed my life. The teachers are amazing and the administration is respectful and honest. SRHS makes its students be responsible for their actions. SRHS is the greatest school i've ever gone to and I recommend it for anyone who is serious about getting a good education.

I have been a parent since this school opened. Each year they seem to get even better. South Ridge worked so well with my oldest son my 2 youngest children go there now. South Ridge always puts the kids needs before anything else. They really want to assist every child in succeeding and becoming the best they can be. I have seen them work hard for other children that are not mine. I tell everyone I know how awesome this school is. I am a very proud parent of 2 students at South Ridge High School.

Another year has gone by and South Ridge continues to grow.... I can only imagine that this will become one of the best schools in the area. The curriculm safety and teahcer/administration participation gets a 10. My daughter has never been so sad to leave a school liked she has now she has now graduated and will be moving on into the real world.

I want to take the moment to thank South Ridge with all their help this year. My son not only passed his AIMS test but exceeded in his writing which made him very happy. All year South Ridge held workshops and provided the students with practice packets even during the winter and spring break which I thought was useless but see that all this benefited him and many others at the school from the feedback I received from him. South Ridge is still pretty much new and even though some parents might hesitate to take them their it will be the best move you'll make I truly believe this. My son would have been a # at Trevor Browne but I now he counts at South Ridge...... thank you.

Well I used to be a student at South Ridge and I can truly say that it is possible for the student to get the best education. The staff is overwhelming professional and honorable. The principal is in fact the best in the Midwest Valley of Phoenix Mr. Kerry Clark. I can recommend this school to any parent.

My daughter is currently a sophomore at South Ridge high school. In the last few weeks she has meet with the administration regarding preparing for the AIMS tests she is required to take this year. My daughter has expressed somewhat of a frustration on everything that is being asked of her this early in the year but understands that this will help her pass if not exceed her scores on AIMS. Discipline and safety are also a big part of her success at school. I love knowing that she is safe and that the administration is their to support her and all the other students. The office staff is friendly and always willing to help when I call of visit the school. The move to this school has been a positive one for all of us.
