Compared to other schools in the OKC Metro area yes Northwood is pretty good. We came here from another state though and it is apparent now the schools in the OKC area are NOT as good as the school we came from (in another state). The other state we came from required all elementary teachers to have Master's degrees by their 6 or 7th year of teaching. Here in Oklahoma not so much! As for the Principal Lisa Campbell my only complaint is she seldom says "Hi" to us when we're in the office (or anywhere in the school for that matter). I don't know if it's just her personality but she comes off as cold land aloof at times. I've even volunteered at the school and she still doesn't acknowledge my presence.

NorthWood is a great school. My oldest kiddo went to StoneRidge in Piedmont and I could not imagine a better school. NorthWood has gone above and beyond my expectations. It is very child friendly and the teachers are good at what they do. The school has such an inviting atmosphere and the library is in the center of the school. Everyone cares from the principal to the teachers to the office ladies and the janitor Mr. Bob. ) Parent involvement is great too. You will love it here.
I love Northwood from having the best principal Mrs.Campbell to the wonderful teachers who work so hard to assure our kids get the very best education in the very best way what I like about Northwood is that they have high expectations and standards for their students and they believe every student is a brilliant one in his or her own way they believe in every student and the self esteem they give their students is high they encourage their kids to ask and explore to be curious they teach their students to become our future leaders . And their special education staff is the most hardworking one I know this from personal experience my daughter's scores when she first came to northwood from another school were really low she is now getting excellent scores on her math and reading. They include parents in every single detail of the kid's progress and they offer all the help needed from reading assistance to special education to volunteers helping this school is amazing .Love this school I've worked there they are the most appreciative cooperative staff ever .
