California Standards Test (CST)

In 2012-2013 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

I went to the office of this school to inform myself on what I needed to do to transfer my daughter to this school and I went unnoticed for 10 minutes! The office seemed unorganized in all aspects. I had not idea if the adults in the office were parents or actual staff administration. Later I realized there two of the adults were office administration but not once was I asked what I needed. I had to get her attention and she gave me a look like I was bothering her when she was not doing anything. I have been told by other parents (that we know) that they have also experienced the same. For this reason I will not be sending my children to this school.
