My daughter went there for K last year. The teacher in charge of the busy bees was not a tender caring lady. My daughter is sensitive and very well behaved but did not handle the yelling and drill sergeant type instructions. She did learn a lot however the teaching style was not what was best for her. I was completely turned off since the first day I went into the office. 4 out of 5 office staff ladies ALWAYS seemed unfriendly and stressed out! Again not an environment I want my daughter to be in. I liked that is was a full day program but I don't like all the responsibility that was put on my 5 year old. She was expected to have perfect handwriting at the end of the year- something I have struggled with my entire life! I gave the school 3 stars because it wasn't the worst and it's only based on the kindergarten experience. Otherwise if I could give it a 2 1/2 I would have. This year my daughter is going to Blue Oak Montessori Charter and her teacher seems to actually care about the mental well-being of the students not just test scores for more funding.

I am amazed by the staff at Indian Creek and the office personnel always have a smile and make the parents and students feel welcome. As busy as the office is at any given time the office staff manages to make time for all.
I am a parent of three chidlren at Indian Creek. I have been amazed by the dedication of the teaching staff at their site. Teachers are constantly making learning fun and my kids look forward to school every day! (The school started a PTA last year and it seems to be going well.)
We have relocated from a different state and we had a wonderful school. I am getting used to the area but not so sure about this school. I do not feel welcomed at all when I go to the office for volunteer nametag or various things. They could really use a friendly staff...the teacher seems to be good so far time will tell.
My two children have attended this school since kindergarten over the last 5 years. During the last two years I have felt that the school has lost some of its passion for education and that their is conflict with the internal operations. Now I notice that API scores have dropped a bit too. I used to consider Indian Creek an excellent school but now they are closer to average.
I have two children at Indian Creek Elementary School. I am pleased with the curriculum and the excellent teaching staff. However the school is lacking in parent support and involvent in PTA. I don't feel welcomed when I visit the office to ask a question get a voluteer name tag or... The music art and P.E. programs are weak as best.
Respected teachers proud students and parents. Great school!
Great school won awards for excellence look at this school if you live in the area.
Since the beginning of this school year I have seen my daughter excell in every area of academics. I am proud to say that I am a mother of a student from Indian Creek Elementary. I find that all the teachers are equally friendly and helpful to all parents whether or not they have this parents child in thier class. I have also found that the administration and maintence staff are also as friendly. My over all view of this school is that they make you feel like family and I find that children here are ready to learn. I only wished that my oldest daughter could have had the same experience.
Excellent School - Great Teachers Small atmosphere Great programs and Parents.
Before I moved to Placerville CA I found out which schools were in my district and went online to check the SAT/Test scores. It was obvious that Indian Creek rated high. As I met people I asked about various schools and again Indian Creek was at the top. My daughter's first year in 3rd grade at Indian Creek went well. I felt her teachers were great! Yes she had two of them one assistant. They were very educated and analysed my daughter well. They made it fun in class and she really enjoyed them. I think they went beyond the norm sending fun letters to the home when they went on vacation. I was on the school Site Council for awhile and felt that the principal and teachers budgeted very well with the kids 1st in priority! Rated 1-10 it's a 9 because no one is perfect!
This is a great community school. Lots of parent and community involvement. The teachers are great but also very disciplined.
