This is a classic example of a school which does more with less. Every year the town budget undergoes extensive cuts to maintain a Mill Rate that acceptable to the towns people. As with any town the school budget is the largest chunk of the budget. With the state in the disorder that it is state funding has been cut and therefore the cost of the budget is placed on the backs of the residents. Until the state undergoes property tax reform and gets out of the Red small towns such as Plainfield will continue to suffer the struggles of budget restraints. Some how the school system in Plainfield manages to improve on a yearly basis. Always going foward and never looking back I am proud to say that my sons and daughters will attend Plainfield Public Schools.
