As parents we are very pleased with the school system in Plainfield. The teachers go above and beyond there are a huge number of events/programs for our kids to enjoy/stay out of trouble and they push a high level of education and morals.

Plainfield High School is what you make of it. I am currently a sophmore and there is a many classes to chose from. The school does a good job getting inbetween students when needed. The school lets you learn and develop as a student and person. They try to stay out of other students business because they are busy trying to give us the best of the best. They make sure to discipline the ones that are causing major problems.

The kids are great but the head principal seems aloof from the students. She is apathetic regarding fair treatment of staff and students. The aqdministration cares only about funding test scores and what looks good on paper. THey make np effort to find the truth when any incident occurs.

plainfield has such wonderful teachers they are commited to helping you learn & better your education & yourself. but there is a big clique problem here and not a lot of kids respect other kids or teachers. the rules are strict and you really have to watch your back. i will say that there is somewhat of a drug problem here.. but if your wanting a good education plainfield high school is amazing.

Terrible school. People show no respect for each other including teachers.

I just graduated PHS. I think it is a wonderful school! The teachers there are all very nice and always want to help kids if they need it. The principals handle their jobs very well and do a great job. I would recommend PHS to anyone looking for a FOUR STAR SCHOOL!!

Plainfield School Systems are actually strong if you are looking for strength in test scores for college. They score very well on testing and the teaching staff is very good. Guidance doesn not help much with searching for scholarships etc- they basically leave it to students/parents. Very political town to live in but wonderful people. Athletics are fairly strong. Boys and Girls basketball programs are above average Softball very good although team potential much stronger than coaching baseball program very good fair golf program cheerleading average swim team above average soccer program very good. (Friends children play almost every sport so able to observe this personally). Tennis team average. Elem. schools very good MS good.

I am a current senior at PHS. Had the opportunity been available I would write a very large review for this. However to keep to 150 words I will adress the one major serious problem I have noticed at this school. Although teachers and staff are helpful (the Majority) they have an extraordinary ability to turn their heads when they know there is a problem.

I have been attending Plainfield High School for about a month now and I have enjoyed it so far. The teachers try to help you in any way they possibly can. There may be a few teachers who may not be that way but overall most of them are. This is a very good school to attend.

I attended Plaindield High School from 1998-2002. Although I dont have alot to say as far as the principal leadership I can that the teachers office workers and guidance counselors were AWESOME. I personally feel the education I recieved at Plainfield High School was outstanding and the staff cared about each and every student. I have attended 2 other school systems and feel like Plainfield is one of the best. I am not an education major and I think my teacher in high school are to thank for that choice and my success in College.

My point of view as a student is that the administrative faculty has no clue what is going on in the school and really couldn't care less. The discipline is way too strict and NOT fair. The dress code is rediculous. The two years that I attended PHS were horrible. Some of the teachers are okay two of the worst retired this year so it should get better hopefully. As a high school student i expected the school to have a much better atmousphere that it did. It didn't really help learning which isn't fun in the first place. Over all it wasn't a very good school.

My children went to Plainfield Schools K-12. I feel that their education is solid and that the school system is a good one. They both scored near or over 1400 on SAT's so I feel they were learning what they needed. Availability of accelerated classes/opportunities frustratingly limited especially as Freshmen... as well as the choice of electives throughout mainly cut and dried basic classes. The school system tends to be conservative and few changes year to year but there is strong emphasis on the kids themselves. The teachers care and do a great job. At times the administration seems inflexible but helpful. Guidance leaves almost all of the college search/prep to the student/family...very little help. We missed $12 000 scholarship due to lack of assistance. Happy with our school choice overall.
