Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS)

In 2010-2011 Massachusetts used the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) to test students in grades 3 though 8 and 10 in English language arts and math, and in grades 5, 8, and 10 in science. The grade 10 MCAS is a high school graduation requirement. The MCAS is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Massachusetts. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.

Disappointed with the new principal. She has come in like a bull in a china shop. Hope superintendent and school committee take a look at this.

The teachers at this school are great! The unfortunate part is that it does not show up in the MCAS scores. Do some research before you consider this.

This is a wonderful school and I would have my children stay here forever if possible. There academic and all extracurricular classes are phenomenal. Parent involvement is very much stressed and always welcome!
