My son just graduated 5th grade from Springhead Elementary and I have to say........WE LOVE EVERYONE THERE!!!!! The only somewhat negative thing I can say throughout the past 6 years is that they need to send notices of events and things like that home just a little sooner so parents who don't have a lot of extra $$ can plan and prepare better so the students don't miss out on things. Other than that.....we absolutely LOVED our years at Springhead Elementary!!!! We think the ENTIRE staff is AWESOME and we will miss seeing them. Thanks SPRINGHEAD PIONEERS for wonderful elementary memories ) )

springhead has tremendous parent support; I like the fact my daughter enjoys going to Springhead; the school could improve with more teacher-parent contact teaching the three R's and not so geared toward the FCAT; place the FCAT need to know knowledge for students within the three R's; each teacher needs to have a pre-planned curriculum for their class at least 30 days in advance for substitutes and teacher replacements to follow so students do not fall behind and the students know when they are behind and this is unjust to Springhead students.

This is by far the worst school my daughter has been to. The staff is rude she has a really bad teacher & it is just all around BAD!

My children have attended Springhead Elementary School for eight years. I love the school. Mrs. Black the principal is great. The teachers are there because they love to teach not just for the paycheck. I agree about needing volunteers. I work in the classroom a couple of times a month. I never see other parents working in the classrooms. The school is in the process of being remodeled which is greatly needed. We are getting a larger lunchroom with a stage for the PTA plays. Hopefully there will be enough room for everyone to see the plays. Parents are always welcome. The staff knows the children by name. Each child is treated as an individual. There are many incentives for perfect attendance AR reading goals and good behaviors. I am looking forward to the improvements of the school as we will be there for many years to come. ~Tammy Anderson

My two children have done very well at Springhead. They both remained on honor roll and both got involved in the reading programs. I just wish the school had a web site like a lot of the other elementary schools. The other schools have an advantage over the summer with posted reading list like the battle of the books.

The quality of academic programs is excellent I have a child in the gifted program who has excelled in Springhead. Music and art are available to the children with an emphisis on music. Parent envolvement is ok but could be better.

Great school. The teachers are willing to work with students and parents. Principal and asst principal have an open door policy. Very child-friendly

My daughter has been at this school for three years and it's wonderful place for a child to learn. They do need a little more parent envolvement. It seems to be the only time they get Volunteers is when there is a Fieldtrip. Don't get me wrong. They do need Volunteers then but they also need volunteers during reagular days at school. I am a didicated Volunteer. I want to be involved in my daughter schooling. The more we have volunteers the more time the teachers have to teach. The only time the teachers have on a break is about 30 minutes and I have spent all day in the copy room before. And one more thing These schools need better Copy machines the whole time last yearone of the two copy machine weren't working.

Springhead Elementary is a wonderful enviornment for a child to attend school. It provides a loving caring place for a child to learn. You won't find a better staff/faculty/administration to teach/care for your child.
