I have had 3 children go to this school and have never had a problem. The Principal Mr. Bader is excellent. He is extremely accessible to children teachers & parents and makes learning fun for the students. The PTO here is fabulous and the children that attend really get wonderful care. 6 different teachers and every single one has genuinely cared about my children & their education and done their best to work with them based on their individual needs

We moved to Woodbridge in 2009. Our oldest son who was going into 3rd grade had to transfer to The Port Reading School. He was already enrolled in a very good school in Queens NY. We found that the all around attitude at The Port Reading School was excellent. The transition from one school to another went much better than expected. We completely credit the Principal for that. My Son knew the Principal's name and talked glowingly about him during the first week of attending. There is no overburdening of homework and alot of the homework is online studying. The teachers are also open to discussing any issues at anytime. We look forward to having our younger son enter kindergarden in Fall 2011.

#9 Port Reading is 1 of 16 elementary schools in Woodbridge Twnshp. It is a k-5 school. It has a building addition being added slated for the summer of '06 and a current population of about 380 students. Their test scores have been good with a very active PTO. They offer a lot of after school programs (intensive small group tutoring wiffleball and chess club) throughout the year for an elementary school and the teachers are very good. The detriment of this school is that their entire attending population is not equally active.

Public School #9 is a small school with a big heart. It's quite apparent how the faculty & staff are committed to provide only the best for our children. These teachers are very devoted to the children and as a result the children are eager to learn & advance to the next level. Mr Bader the principal is an awesome advisor & a wonderful person. He puts the PAL in principal. Any child lucky enough & privleged to attend this school should be thankful for the opportunity. I am saddened that my youngest child will be graduating from this fine school. Best of Luck to Mr Bader & his faculty for a job well done!
