I am a graduate from PikeView HighSchool I have to say that they are very key on their techniques for teaching skills. This school is not just a school it's like a family. You need extra help you get it. You need one on one time with a teacher or Principal you got it. This school should never rate four stars it should have 5 on my count.
On the whole Pikeview is a good school. Being a coach there i can coment on the sports programs. T he football program is on the rise thanks to having a coach stay more than 1 year coach Damewood and his staff have the program going in thr right direction. The basketball programs are both on par with just about any in the state on any given night can beat anyone in the state. Thanks to coaching staffs and parents for the hard work . Thanks to the students for the effort.
PikeView Highschool is a great school Academically but when it comes to their sports it's sad. We don't have many Pep Ralley's to support the teams like Summers does or Princeton. We should be supportive of the Athletic field and have Pep ralley's and see are Mascot at his best at games. Remember Panther spirit? So it's pretty much a Average school when it comes to the Athletic department.
As a current student at PikeView High I can honestly say that it is overall a good school and I wound not want to attend any the other area high schools. However PVHS just like anyother school has its flaws. Among these is a lack of varitiy in the AP courses that are offerd. The basics such as English US History and Biology are availiable and fairly popular among students but other challanging courses like AP Chemistry or AP Pshychology should be offered. Another promblem with PVHS is that Student Governmet has been reduced to a popularity contest which overshadows the students who's ideas could improve the school in favor of the spoiled little trendsetters that are blindly followed by the majority at the student body. On a more positive note PVHS has a wonderful Preforming and Visual Arts program which is due to it's devoted teachers and talented students.
Graduated in 2004 performing arts major. With a OK Drama program and an amzing Music. The Seasonal Musical is great to prepare any theater or music student. Music Techer Tim Waugh is a pro. He cares and show great detail in his musical education prosses. Though the school can be a bit low on activities it is very friendly an open to all sorts of diverse people. It gave me a grate foundation and head start. A Head first Learning disability programs make the school open to all levels of learning. Amazing school spirit. Football has been a week point for a few year but there is a great basketball program Track and Rare Clown Troupe make Pikeview worth a look. Best of all an A+ English Dept.
