Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $725K in Bluemont, Arlington, VA.
Betsy Twigg is by far the best real estate agent with whom we have worked. On the buy side, she took the time to get to know us to better understand what we were looking for in the perfect house. As she worked with, she quickly learned what types of houses we liked and what we did not. She would only send us listings that would work for us and would scout out prospective houses before taking us for showings. She saved us time and energy. On the sell side, Betsy had a plan for selling our house. She created a detailed list of of fixes, timeline to complete the fixes, and recommendations for contractors. She also did an amazing job staging our house. She told us what to pack up and store away and brought in a stager to make our house look roomy and well-decorated. We have small children so Betsy recommended that we leave for a long weekend so she could host multiple showings and two open houses. We received multiple offers on the house after only one weekend on the market. Betsy helped us choose between the offers and our buyers were solid and easy to work with. Betsy made an emotional process very easy and non-stressful. We recommend Betsy to all our friends and everyone has been satisfied. I would never work with anyone else but Betsy Twigg!

If you are serious about buying or selling in Arlington there cannot be a better agent than Betsy Twigg. She found the home we bought, got us in for a view before it was officially listed. Helped us prep and sell our old home for top dollar and knows all the best contractors to help prep a home for sale and settle you into your new home. She is down to earth and made sure we closed on our old house the week before we closed on the new house. With her 26 years of experience in Arlington, her word is her bond and she worked overtime to get the deal done.
After the open house she sat down with us and told us everything that happened and assured us we would sell and we did! When we were looking for our new home, she sent us weekly e-mails with all the open houses in our area like other agents, but she knew what we wanted and knew immediately when our new home was coming on the market. She got us in for a view on Thursday, it was listed on a Friday, they had an open house on Sunday and they accepted our offer that Betsy helped us structure on Monday. You must be that fast in Arlington and Betsy got us out in front of all the competition.
The one regret I have with Betsy is that we did not know to get her when we bought our first house in 2007. We are now in our forever home and the local lender Betsy recommended got us the best rate on our mortgage with no points.
My wife thinks of Betsy as a friend now and Betsy came by to see how we have settled in so far. There are many reasons Betsy was the top single listing agent in Virginia for multiple years, but there is only one reason to make sure she is your agent -- if you follow her advice she will get the deal done and you will be very happy.
Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $1.15M in Yorktown, Arlington, VA.
Working with Betsy Twigg was the absolute best decision we made when it was time to sell our old house and buy a new one. Betsy has a professional rolodex that is unimaginable - anything that you need to have done, she has someone who can do the work quickly and inexpensively. Every contractor we brought in sang her praise - which makes sense, because she is so great to work with. Betsy looks out for the best interest of her clients throughout the entire process and beyond.
Our buying process was a complicated one and Betsy was there every step of the way, guiding and supporting us – we truly could not have done it without her. She knows the market and was able to get us a great rate on our new house and top dollar on our old house. If you are buying or selling a house in Northern Virginia, the best decision you will make is to use Betsy Twigg as your agent.
Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $525K in Annandale, VA.
My wife and I were looking to purchase our first house in the summer of 2012. I was skeptical of hiring a real estate agent and initially thought we could purchase a house on our own. After our wonderful experience with Betsy Twigg – I have to admit I was dead wrong. There were many more steps in the process than expected and Betsy took care to make sure every detail was covered. The services she was able to provide saved us of time and money.
We had met many realtors at open houses in the spring, but we were most impressed with Betsy. The first house we wanted to place an offer on had signs of termite damage (which Betsy immediately spotted). Betsy had the foresight to ask the sellers for the termite report from buyers that made a previous offer and withdrew. Seeing that report saved us a bunch of time and money! It was obvious the house had termite damage and we withdrew before shelling out a couple of hundred dollars for our own inspections.
Finally, we found the house that we would buy. When we filled out the contract/bid on the house Betsy took her time and explained every page to us and answered every question we had. There were pages of papers to sign and she made sure we understood what we were signing. Betsy kept us on top of all of the things that had to be done to purchase the house. She even met the termite inspector for us so I didn’t have to take more time off from work. When there was a small problem with the title she contacted the title company and the bank for us and kept all parties informed and on the same page. She also gave us some fantastic suggestion on contractors and decorating ideas.
I would highly recommend Betsy to anybody looking for a buyer’s agent. She is calm, provides great perspective, responds to your emails promptly (even nights and weekends), and she has excellent knowledge of the house buying process.
Sold a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $650K in Dominion Hills, Arlington, VA.
Betsy Twigg is the consummate professional. She listened to our concerns and guided our family through every step in the process of selling our home, providing assistance with all the details, from staging the property, to repairs after the pre-sale inspection, to effective intervention when a complication unexpectedly arose at closing.
We feel especially well served by her experience with the Arlington market and her ability to advise us on pricing. She presented us with very detailed information about recent sales in our neighborhood and was familiar with every property on the market in our area. Betsy's friendly, straightforward manner made it easy to have an honest conversation about expectations.
Even though we were no longer in the area when our house went on the market, Betsy made sure our property was kept looking its best -- leaves raked, windows washed -- and she kept us well informed by email and phone at each step, from the open house, to accepting an offer, to the repairs needed after inspection, to the details of the contract and accompanying paperwork.
Our home sold quickly at a good price, and we couldn't have been happier with our experience with Betsy Twigg.

I wouldn't buy or sell real estate in Arlington without Betsy Twigg on my side. She knows the market inside and out. She's unflappable and has a great sense of humor. Her experience was invaluable when we were negotiating our contract and she helped us get top dollar for our home. Simply put...she's the best!
Sold a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $1.325M in Cherrydale, Arlington, VA.
No one knows Arlington's real estate market conditions and the community better than Betsy. As an added plus, she is actually very wonderful to work with. She navigated us through a difficult closing situation and was very calm and helpful throughout. She also has great recommendations for local repair men and other service people needed for your typical home sale transaction. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend her!
Betsy recently helped us purchase a home in Arlington and her knowledge and skills were razor sharp and helped make the transaction very smooth. From the selling agent, to the closing coordination, no transaction we have ever done went as smooth as it did with Betsy.
You'll be in good hands if you choose Betsy to buy or sell.
Sold a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $900K in Dover Crystal, Arlington, VA.
Betsy took us through a complex process of selling a house and quickly buying another during a down market and helped us come out ahead. It was an anxious time for us, but she helped us through it step by step with encouragement, good sensible suggestions, and humor. She organized our open house and helped us stage the house so it looked its best. She did a great job of getting the word out and there were over 100 visitors to the open house. We received a full price offer the next day.
Her knowledge of the area was a real plus when we were looking for a new house. She was willing to show us places on short notice on several occasions, and she kept in close touch with us throughout the process.
Sold a Single Family home in 2010 for approximately $475K in Arlington Heights, Arlington, VA.
The BEST agent in Northern Virginia, hands down. Betsy is smart as a whip, extremely responsive, and she knows this real estate market like the back of her hand. Loads of experience, Betsy will help you buy or sell wisely. She got us top dollar for our house in a tough transitional market. The consummate professional, Betsy provides valuable advice if negotiations get tough and is always a calming presence. What's more, Betsy is an all-around terrific person. She gives back to the community and is a "green" certified realtor. Two thumbs up -- way up!!
