Buy a home in DuPage County? Look for Bob or Ben. I recently bought a home at Darien/Westmont area. I have to admit that I'm a picky customer, and with tight budget constraint. We began search in March/April 2012 and finally got my dream home in late October. During the half year, we visited many homes, and Bob was very patient and accommodating. (I'm from Michigan and often requested odd times.) When Bob was not available, Ben filled in and I had never felt any inconvenience whenever I wanted to see some properties. When it came to make an offer, Bob provided professional advice in terms of property quality and price range. Bob was very frank and realistic about the prices, and I really felt that he worked for the interest of the buyer.

What I bought was not high value property, but Bob put in 100% effort just the same. I've already told my brother and sister, who are also in DuPage,to keep Bob in mind when they sell/buy their properties.

My wife and I used Ben Kastein of Advantage Realty to help us find a new home. We had a goal of finding a home that was priced under the market value in a stable neighborhood. Ben's partner, Bob Hudetz even filled in for Ben once for a showing of a home when Ben's schedule made him unavailable on short notice. Bob spent several hours with us showing the home and willingly shared his considerable knowledge of how to evaluate a property being considered. Ben was always available to answer question or offer advice and helped us through the new complex mortgage and closing processes. He even offered assistance in finding contractors to do a considerale amount of updating we are doing to the home. Advantage Realty's market knowledge and "customer first" attitude makes them, in my opinion a first rate organization.

Ben was referred to us about month before our relocation date. While we were still living in Oklahoma, he sent daily emails with properties for us to consider. We were able to rate them and keep track of our favorites. When the time got closer, we set up a day/time to view the homes. Ben made the day a pleasure! He was extremely organized, helpful and knowledgable. Once we found a place we loved, Ben got our application to the owners quickly, and took care of all the details! He returned every email and phone call quickly and seemed genuinely happy to help us! Ben made our lives so much easier, and took away some of the stress of moving! We couldn't have been happier with his service!

We had a showing set up for 11am. I talked to him about it on the phone and emailed him upon request to confirm. 11:11, I called figuring he might be late. Called a couple more times and at 11:30 got a call back saying we had "crossed our signals" and that he would call me right back. He called back about 5 minutes later and said he didn't get the email confirmation and would not be able to make it before the front desk in the lobby of the condo closed. He gave us the code for the unit and told us to figure out a way around the question of the front desk (asking if I was a real estate agent) and go see the unit ourselves. I was not going to lie to get in the unit. A lack of true professionalism, but I'm glad I found this out now, rather than later.

I worked with Bob for the last 8 Months and never felt I was misinformed, misled or pushed in any way. He was very informative knowledgeable and expert in his area. I would definitely add that the final closing was for a SHORTSALE home. Now this is a whole different ballgame and Bob and his team showed great confidence and expertise in getting it close in about 3 months time.
