From our first meeting to our final farewell, Alecia and her team were outstanding. Our story is a familiar one: emptying and selling the home my parents lived in for 49 years. Through months of clearing, cleaning and long-needed repairs, Alecia connected us with every sort of contractor, and educated us on the current local market. Bought a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $175K in Silver Spring, MD.
I had a wonderful experience recently when I purchased a 'Short Sale' condo with the help of the Scott team. I was refered to the Scott team by a friend of mine who had only great things to say about her experience with them.

They were very knowledgeable with the area. They showed me tons of available properties in the area I wanted (Aspen Hill, MD) and most importantly they were very patient with me because I am a very picky person and I was not going to make any exception or settle on my first home.

When I finally found my ideal condo, I was disappointed to find out that it was a 'Short Sale' because I had no clue how this scary proccess worked. However, the Scott team were experts and walked me through every step of the process with ease and they made what could have been a painful process easy and most importantly they EXPLAINED things to me about the process. I would highly recommend using the Scott team if you want a easy, hassel free home buying experince (like I had :-)).

Bought a home in 2012.
Robert Qawar was my realtor. He was very professional and knowledgable. He was very attentive and made every effort to help me buy my dream house. I don't think I would've gotten this house if it wasn't for him. The house I wanted had several offers on it but Robert was able to work with the seller's agent to get me my dream house for the right price! He was a pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend him and anyone from the Scott team to help you find you home! Robert does not only make the process easy but he gets you the house you dreamed of! He's best of the best :)

I Can't say enough great things about Alecia. She is extremely intelligent has integrity, commitment, and a great heart, and knows the real estate market inside and out. She has incredible attention to detail and pointed out things in potential homes that other realtors never considered. She is very analytical and takes a very sensible and logical approach to the process.

She was honest about challenges with selling our home, and extremely helpful when it came down to getting things done to prepare the place for showings and get the highest bid for our place during a time when the market was slowing down.

Bought a Townhouse home in 2012 for approximately $425K in Laurel, MD.
The process of buying my home was very stressful and time consuming. Being a first time buyer, I was unaware of the processes involved concerning loans, credit score, finding the right house etc... In the beginning, my parents had referred me to an agent who seemed to have a lot of experience but was not sympathetic to my needs. Working with Alecia Scott and Robert Qawar alleviated majority of the stress involved with purchasing my home, from finding the right loan to the right house. In 2011 my wife and I began our search for the right home for our growing family. We chose to work with Alecia and Rob of the Scott Team. Right from the start we found ourselves unsure of where, what and why. Through discussions with Rob and Alecia, they helped us narrow our search to locations that were where we wanted to be. Rob got out in the winter to show us homes in the snow. He made himself available and accessible at all times, which was such a relief to my wife. When we located our ultimate dream home, it was significantly above our high point on price. Rob/Alecia immediately went to work and through some back and forth, we got the home at the price point we wanted, 12% below the initial list price. Bought a Townhouse home in 2010 for approximately $350K in Silver Spring, MD.
I worked with Alecia and her team to buy my first home. Needless to say, I had a lot questions… everything from what location would be best for me to what in the world an equity is. To put it mildly, my knowledge was basic. I had been working with another realtor in the area that I could never really quite warm up to; she had more questions for me than I had for her and frankly it was not helping my anxiety about this major purchase. Just as I was giving up on buying a home (I’m a Redskins fan and thus a huge believer in “there’s always next year”), I met Alecia through a friend… what a dream she was to work with. She really knows her craft and acted as my advisor throughout the entire process. We looked at just one house and I was sold. I felt confident in my decision and couldn’t have asked for a better realtor to make the entire process a breeze. I would recommend Alecia and her team to anyone who is looking to take the leap in the most important purchase one can make.

Sold a Condo home in 2011 in Silver Spring, MD.
I made contact with Alecia as part of a long-distance search for an agent to sell a property in Maryland (I live in NY). The property in questions was a bit of a special situation as it was in a retirement community and therefore bucked the typical market trends a bit. Still, I had done a good deal of market research, andI felt I knew about what I should hear on market conditions and pricing -- and in this market things were obviously not always goign to be positive. Alecia prepared a detailed and accurate market analysis and pricing proposal, which included forecast scenarios for "down the line" should the sales process be extended in a tough market. End of day, the property is now sold and with results that were within the scenarios Alecia prepared. The entire time, I received detailed reports on showings and feedback, logical suggestions for changes to our plan, and (most importnatly) excellent and proactive advice when we finally had a deal. We closed in less than 30 days from the accepted offer, and I couldn't be happier with the overall experience. And, to date, I have still never met Alecia face to face -- but I would use her again in a heartbeat should a need arise in her territory.
