Absolute worst real estate transaction I have ever been involved with. Called and said he had a contract and I would need $1100 to bring to closing in 4 weeks. Then at week 3.5 he said he THOUGHT the amount was $1800. Then 3 days before closing, the attorneys office sent the closing statement and it said I would need $5400 to close. Then Mr Wilkinson says he will cut his commission and I should be grateful that he was willing to do that. So now I have already moved out at this point, completed a list of repairs which cost money, and Mr Wilkinson says I should be glad I only had to pay $3500. He also negotiated away 2 flat screen TV's and a very high end washer/dryer set. Had I not already moved all my personal belongings out, I wold have canned the deal there and made the buyer force me to sell. All in all I figure Mr Wilkinson's dishonesty cost me around $6000. Mr Wilkinson seems to not accept the fact that I have not one but 2 witnesses. When I called him out he suggested he gave me bad numbers because he negotiated the deal while shopping in the grocery store. He also suggested that I gave him inaccurate numbers on the payoff which is totally false. I gave him the amount and missed it $50 to his favor. Next I plan to reach out to top level management at Keller Williams to make sure they know about Mr Wilkinson's unethical behavior. And just to put icing on the cake, the buyer was someone I had shown the property prior to listing the property with Alex Wilkinson and Keller Williams. I informed Mr Wilkinson that I had already shown the property to a potential buyer and should they buy the property, I would exclude Mr Wilkinson from the transaction. I did not find out until 2 weeks after the contract was signed, the the buyer was the person shown the property prior to Keller Williams listing. When I was told that I would only need $1100 to close and that Mr Wilkinson would get a commission, I agreed only to learn later that Mr Wilkinson had lied about the selling cost to me.
Response from Alex on 11/19/2014
This review is completely false, and misleading. 1. Client/seller is required to approve and sign off on any/all offers/agreements. Offers were presented and communicated in a clear manor. 2. Buyer requested that the TV's and washer/dryer remain, seller agreed. 3. Seller did not provide me with any names of who he claims to have shown the property to prior to my company listing it, and again, the names of the buyers are clearly written on the offer that he agreed to. This person has threatened to write negative reviews about me if I don't pay him $2000. Please read my other reviews for a true representation of my service and past client experiences.
My husband and I have been working with Alex for a few years as we started dabbling in the housing market. Throughout that time we kind of left and came back and throughout the entire process Alex was there to help us make the decisions that were right for us. He was and continues to be (even after the purchase of our amazing new home!) ready and willing to help us in any way that he can. No matter what time of day he was ready to show us properties and answer any questions we had. He is a master negotiator and as fabulous as he is as a realtor, he is just an all around great guy! We felt so comfortable and really felt that at the end of the process we had a friend in him. We would 150% recommend him to anybody looking to buy or sell- his knowledge of the area is unprecedented! We actually had a friend looking to make a purchase, sent him to Alex, and they are already under contract!! We do not have enough great things to say about Alex but we will absolutely use him for when we sell our home and purchase another one down the road! I promise you will be so happy that you have him on your side!!!!

Alex did an awesome job negotiating with the selling agent. We had a lot of concerns about the house after the Atlanta ice storm where the selling agent did an unreasonable minimal work in repairs. He met us at the house early morning with the agent and hammered out what needed to be done and never backed down in order to get us our dream home. A great agent and highly recommended!
Alex Wilkinson is a true professional. He is courteous and extremely knowledgeable of the area as well as the building we desired to live. We developed a rapport immediately upon meeting him and working with with him was a breath of fresh air! If you are looking for someone with integrity, Alex is your Realtor.
Alex was wonderful to work with. He took us to see lots of homes and did not get frustrated as we passed several by and changed our mind on which seas we wanted to see. He was very responsive to my calls and patiently answered all questions that my husband and I had through the searching and then buying process. It was our first home purchase so we had a lot of questions about the process.

Alex was a great agent. I felt like we connected from our first meeting. Alex was always available by email, text, or a phone call away. He answered all my questions dealing with my property or found out the answer almost immediately to any questions or concerns. I would certainly refer Alex to anyone looking for an agent to represent them Thank you Alex!
It was very positive. He always arranged his time to show us new property according to our schedule! He guided us from the beginning to the end of our purchasing. He showed us several time he was on our side defending our interested. Very patient, kindly and professional !! Thank you Alex for helping us buying our dream house!
Alex did a wonderful job working with us on our first home purchase. He was thorough throughout the whole process, making sure we found the home that fit all of our needs. We will be working with him again in the future to either buy another home, or sell any that we currently possess. Highly, highly recommend!
Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $500K in Atlanta, GA.
I worked with Alex and Karen, and highly recommend them. I came to them after a disappointing experience with another realtor, and they went above and beyond to make sure that my experience with them was entirely different. My work schedule made it difficult to see houses during the day, but someone from the team was ALWAYS available to show me houses in the early evening/weekends. This was a huge plus in a market where houses were going under contract within 24 hours of listing. Additionally, Alex has tremendous knowledge of the local area, especially of subdivisions, which was very helpful. Unfortunately, we got out-bid on several houses early on, but Alex was very helpful in navigating the difficult process of "final and best offers." He also remained patient with me through many, many showings. In the end, I found an amazing house with Alex, and he and Karen helped me aggressively negotiate the price. The whole process in preparing for the closing went very smoothly and they also recommended a great mortgage broker. I would use them again!

Alex knows what he is doing. He has experience in the area and he is a great negotiator.
He was never in a rush when driving us to see houses, he listened to what we wanted and also helped us realize what we really needed.
