Amanda Wiley. Wow. Where can I begin? First of all, a bit of background on my family's situation: We had been in the market for a house since 2012, and were working with another agent at that time. Due to some credit issues, the deal fell through and we had to take some time to rebuild my credit profile. Come Fall 2014, things were looking a lot better, and my score was in the low 600's - enough to qualify for an FHA loan, but just barely. I had seen the overwhelmingly positive reviews that Amanda has on various realty websites, and since the previous agent I had worked with was out of communication I decided to contact Amanda to help us find our home. That choice was -- without a doubt -- the best decision I made in the entire homebuying process. The short and sweet: 1) She was incredibly fast and accommodating when we started looking for homes. I called one Sunday, and the next day we had an appointment set up. Every meeting thereafter was equally responsive. 2) Amanda has spent a lot of time in this business, and has worked with many, many people across every specialty you might need while buying or selling your home. Count on her advice, and never be afraid to ask if she knows lenders, contractors, or closing agents if you need those services. (If I'd utilized her network sooner, I'd saved myself an awful lot of heartache and frustration. Do the smart thing, and ask early on in the process.) 3) She works throughout Southwest Georgia, and is deeply familiar with everything each of our local towns has to offer. If you'd like to know more about the pro's and con's of the area you're looking at, she has the facts and statistics to help you make the best decision for you and your family. 4) Amanda keeps tabs on homes for every taste and every budget. Feel free to bring her listings you want to see, but I also recommend that you tell her what you want most from your home. I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised to see what she comes up with. 5) Your best interests are her best interests, and she fights tooth and nail for them. You never have to worry that she isn't working to get the best outcome for you, and has no problem telling another agent or firm where to go if they act outrageously or make unreasonable demands. I state unequivocally that if we had not had Amanda in our corner during this process, I wouldn't have a home to type this review from. Despite a predatory lender, an outlandishly difficult and petty seller, and my less-than-stellar credit score, she pushed us all the way to the finish line and put a key in our hand. So take it from me: The only mistake you could make with Amanda, would be to not give her a call.
