REO, FORECLOSURES, BANK OWNED AND HUD OWNED PROPERTIES
The process for locating these homes and submitting bids is different than the traditional real estate process, it can be helpful to work with a real estate professional who is knowledgeable about purchasing REO properties. You will be working closely with this person, so it is important that you find someone you feel comfortable with and who is attuned to your specific needs and situation. To submit a bid on a Bank-Owned property, the bid must come from a real estate professional who is currently licensed to sell property in the state in which the property is located. To submit a bid on a HUD-owned (Government-Owned) property, the bid must come from a real estate professional who is currently registered with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
