Arthur has been involved in real estate for over 12 years. He joined Sotheby''s International Realty in 2004, specializing in luxury properties in the mid San Francisco peninsula area. In 2011, he and partner, Catherine Marcus sold the highest priced home in the history of the United States and are on the Wall Street Journal''s list of the 100 top real estate agents in America.
Arthur also has extensive development experience including luxury home building, condominium conversions, luxury retirement communities as well as medical office building development. Previously, Arthur served as a principal and managing director of Operations at Randolph Equities, a national real estate development company. Arthur served as the onsite development representative for projects in Florida and the Southeast. Arthur''s responsibilities included identifying opportunities, directing projects from acquisition to sellout. Responsibilities also included site selection, acquisitions and entitlements; project costing, construction budgets, management, sales team assemblage and developing marketing strategies.
Prior to joining Randolph Equities, Arthur was the president and CEO of J Colton Company, a designer apparel and footwear chain, which he founded in Santa Monica, California. Arthur developed the strategic business plans for the successful ten-store chain and was responsible for overall marketing strategies and management. Arthur selected sites, designed storefronts and retail concepts, and expanded the chain throughout Southern California.
Arthur has a keen ability to develop and market a brand anticipating consumer trends and identifying a market niche. Implementing sound business strategies, attention to detail and thorough knowledge of the industry has made Arthur successful in every endeavor he has been associated with. With over 30 years in sales, Arthur has experience in evaluating properties and opportunities intuitively and presenting them informatively. His persuasive negotiating skills make him uniquely qualified whether the client is looking for the perfect home or selling their most prized possession.
