I was not impressed with Asa. I spoke to her one time. I was looking for a house for 2 years, my Realtor Shelly Blankenship was great! She was knowledgeable, upfront and very informative! But after we put an offer in on a house I was handed over to someone else. And the people I had to deal with were not very nice, they would talk to me like I was a stupid little kid! I do not nor did I appreciate that.
Then at first I was not approved for the USDA loan and then I started to ask questions and I was all of sudden approved (that was when Asa called). I personally would not recommend them but I would recommend Michelle Blankenship my Realtor.
Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $200K in Madison, OH.
Primary point of contact: Ron Bissett
Ron was always available to us day and night. We worked with Ron for two years. We bought our new home with him and then sold the old home with him. If he didn't know the answers to our questions he got them very quickly. Ron was on top of all aspects of selling our home, from buyers feedback to selling points. What we appreciated the most was his honesty and objectivity. Ron is very patient and easy going even under stressful circumstances. We will recommend him to our friends and family.

I purchased my first home this year. Not only were they very helpful with the home buying process, they also help me get a few financial issues straighten out. I can honestly say from the moment I decided to buy a house the ladies at Asa Cox homes and Crosscountry Mortgage were right by my side. If I had a question I just had to call or stop in, I am lucky enough to have an office in my town. At the time I was going through the buying steps, my mother and I both had health issues and they were very understanding with the time it took me to get some paper work back to them. I would recommend Asa Cox to anyone who would like to have patient, knowledge, very kind people to work with.
Second time we have used Paul Muro to purchase a home in 3 years. Our house sold within 24 hours of being on the market and Paul was very helpful in helping us find a new home. Asa even showed us a house when Paul was tied up with other commitments. Will use Asa Cox Homes Paul Muro Group again if we sell or buy in the future.
I've had two experiences with Asa and her team. In 2009 Asa sold my home in Concord when the market went crazy and she did everything she could, including cutting her commissions and fees to make sure we sold our home in a timely manner. My experience with Asa was so positive that when we moved back to Northeast Ohio in 2014, I didn't even consider another realtor but contacted Asa immediately.
Trying to find a home while being 5 hours away was no easy task, but Shelly Blankenship was more than excellent. She performed all the leg work for us so that when we came into town to look at houses, we knew what to expect and had all the information we needed. If we had any questions, they were answered the same day. She was so flexible, and we always felt like we were her only priority. It came down to one week to find our home and we found our dream home in Madison.
Unfortuantely, the realtor for the sellers was a nightmare to work with, Karen Breedlove. She was so difficult in so many ways, including having a signed contract and then setting up an open house on the property. But with both Asa and Cassandra Cox's outstanding experience and knowledge, we were able to still close on time, even when I thought I would just throw in the towel and be living in an apartment.
Asa and her team are angels, and I respect all that they did for my family during this incredibly stressful time. I also am in awe of how Asa and her team give back and pay forward. They are all a blessing.
Showed home in 2014 in Lane, Grand River, OH 44077.
Everyone at Asa Cox Homes are so helpful with knowledge unsurpassed.
They showed us homes on holidays weekends whenever we wanted, but when Asa showed us the one we wanted her negotiation skills suprised even me. We got the home for what we wanted to pay with seller paying most of the fees.
We walked away with the home of our dreams and a ton of new friends

The purchase of our home was my first experience w/Asa Cox Homes. I HIGHLY recommend them. I dealt w/both Cassandra and Asa. Asa was the realtor that showed us the houses we were interested in and also recommended a few, FYI the home we purchased was a home that Asa recommended we look at. Asa is highly knowledgeable, professional and friendly and an absolute pleasure to have met. Cassandra did everything else and was my primary contact at Asa Cox, she is also highly knowledgeable, professional and extremely friendly. Buying your first home can be a rather nerve racking experience, Cassandra answered my multitude of questions quickly, informatively and to the point. She also answered most of my questions before I had asked them and walked us through the entire process step by step. Cassandra was extremely diligent in coordinating all aspects of our purchase from the inspections to the V.A. appraisal (which in itself is a nerve racking experience) and financing and made sure we were quickly and well informed on any changes. They also work hand in hand with Cross Country Mortgage which you are not under any obligation to use as your finance company but again I would also HIGHLY recommend them. I had a few old Dr. bills on my credit report that I had no idea were there and Tina from Cross Country took care of them quicker than I would have thought possible. Tina, Wendy and Michelle from Cross Country are just as professional, friendly and diligent as Asa and Cassandra from Asa Cox Homes. If I am ever looking to purchase a home in the future I will be using Asa Cox Homes and recommending them to any family & friends......Thank you so very much guys!
Listed, but didn't sell my Single Family home in 2010 in Madison, OH.
Asa Cox homes and Asa herself gave us an extremely poor experience to the point we did not sell or purchase with her agency. We originally listed our home with Bill Bissett, one of her agents and told him up front how much we needed to make on the house to break even. If we could not get that price we would wait and list when the market recovered enough. He assured us we could list at the price we needed so we hired him. As soon as the contract was signed he said our house was priced too high we needed to lower it. He also refused to do open houses and said those didn't help. We contacted Asa about this and she was rude and disrespectful. We asked out of our selling contract and she granted it to get rid of us but treated us like complete garbage. She markets herself as a caring charitable agent when in reality she preys on the lower income residents of the area which in turn makes all of our home values go down. She also displays a better than everyone else attitude toward her clients and employees as we saw with our own eyes. Beware and do business with a reputable real estate company.

I was a senior citizen, newly divorced, and living on Social Security. Looking at rentals showed me to live somewhere I would feel comfortable living was going to cost me $800+, slightly lower if I got REALLY lucky!
I was told about a program offered by Asa Cox Homes that could put me in my OWN home for a payment comfortable on JUST my Social Security.
I contacted Asa and was immediately put in contact the appropriate person who would start my process, a lengthy one certainly - but with nearly immediate help every step of the way. Regardless if you have 1-2 questions, or 10-12 questions, just call Asa or whomever you're working with, and they'll give you answers, or GET the answers for you in a short period of time.
I went looking at homes in 2' deep snow! My agent, Shelly, responded quickly to any inquiry I made of a home, finding out details about it and/or setting up a time to view it. She sent me new listings daily, and I was free to wander about on my own. If I found something not in the listings, she quickly got details on it.
I have been in my own home now since end March 2014, and I'm very appreciative of the assistance from Asa and her team.
If I still have any questions, and I HAVE had a few, they still treat me as if I'm a new client and they're working hard to earn my business!
And......a BONUS I found out about......when it comes time to need a big expense for, say, replacement windows (or something big like that), I can contact Asa Cox Homes and they will take me through the process of getting the funds for that repair/replacement cost ADDED TO MY MORTGAGE, which would add just a few dollars a month to my mortgage payment - so I won't have to try to come up with a major amount of money without having to try to get a second loan (which would probably be impossible, based solely on my Social Security income!).
Thank you ever so much to Asa Cox and her skilled, knowledgeable, attentive TEAM!
