I wouldn't recommend Kirk based off of my experience. The fact that he's a real estate attorney can be a pro and a con. Sometimes he needs to take off his "lawyer hat" and communicate in laymen's terms and avoid continually playing the devil's advocate. Being a first time buyer, I was hoping I would be more educated about the process , but instead I felt his law experience was used against me at times (i.e. the seller could sue if I wanted to back out). We made an offer on a house, but the home inspection came back with some things I wasn't willing to settle on. After the deal fell through, I was handed off to one of his associates and haven't heard from him since. In fact, the day after the home inspection, his associate called me and had assumed I wanted out, when I really just wanted to discuss options with him and was still willing to negotiate.
However, his staff is amazing and I'm glad I got to work with Arlene. We ended up seeing many more houses and eventually found the one that was the perfect fit.
