I have a background in Hotel and Resort Management, Rental Property Management, Real Estate Sales & Marketing, and Mortgage Finance. Prior to becoming licensed to sell real estate, I managed waterfront vacation resorts in Key West Florida. I then moved into residential re-sales, specializing in first time home buyers, and retirees who were downsizing. Working with clients who were selling and buying, at the same time, was particularly challenging and rewarding.More Less
In 2004 I joined the growing New Construction phase of real estate sales as Project Sales Manager for three luxury waterfront communities in the Florida Keys. Working with engineers, designers, contractors, builders, city management and inspection departments through the infrastructure and building process was an experience that proved to be invaluable to me in my career. Being the primary representative for the builder on site, I developed relationships with many out of state buyers, realtors, and banking institutions, as well as local investors.
I relocated to the Ft Lauderdale area in 2006, and began working in the mortgage financing industry. Being on the inside, during the largest financial crisis in America's recent history, was an education to be sure. As over 800 banks and lending institutions folded, home values plummeted and the market became flooded with foreclosure properties, I moved back into residential real estate sales, where I helped buyers and sellers understand the short sales and foreclosure process.
Today, I view the last few volatile years in this industry as a gift. Having worked through all of the changes, and having experienced how these shifts in our industry have permanently changed the way that people buy and sell real estate, I feel I am prepared to lead my clients through the maze of this new terrain successfully. Avoiding the many pitfalls that are present in any shift of this magnitude, is half the battle.
