how do i know what my house is worth?

A "Comparative Market Analysis" will give you a solid value point to start with. A CMA is achieved by comparing "like" or similar homes that recently sold within a one or two block radius of your home. Beginning with a 30 day history of "SOLDS" and working back further if needed. Sometimes the geographical areas need to be increased if there aren't any good comps within 30, 60, or 90 days. The homes must be similar (rambler, two story, etc) with the same number of bedrooms, baths, etc.. Lot sizes, types of streets and zoning make a difference too. Confused yet? It's easy if you have a qualified Agent to help you. [self promotion deleted by Zillow moderator.  Please see our Good Neighbor Policy]
