in 2001 I started my carer in real estate on the finance side working as a mortgage banker for large commercial banks. 

Today, I own and manage Mission Real Estate, where I help sellers get top dollar for their homes, and buyers get into a home at the best price possible.

Ben helped my husband and I purchase our first fixer upper property and also it was a 2-unit building. We have been condo home owners before but had no experience with being either landlords, or understanding the somewhat murky process of identifying and working with the right contractors, understanding tenant laws inside San Francisco’s complicated housing market, abatement issues and more. <br/><br/>Ben was very confident and knowledgeable and knew which contractors and attorneys to send us to –so we could learn and ask questions. He hooked us up with several different contractors, walked us through the process of understanding various bids, and since he used to work as a lending officer he also had extensive knowledge of various lending procedures of construction loans. He provided us with names for various lenders,<br/><br/>Above all we knew we could trust him. He didn’t just want to make an easy commission check and wasn’t a “sales person” – but was generally engaged and went above and beyond in a very lengthy real-estate transaction which took the better of half a year due to eviction and abatement issues on the property. He seemed to enjoy putting in a good effort to get us a good deal we could afford on the property. Because of Ben’s tenacity my family is now secured in a great property in a very competitive housing market where we had other realtors told us: “Oh you can’t get a fixer in Bernal Heights because those get “snatched up” by contractors very fast”. Instead Ben had faith in the process and believed we could reach our dreams and potential. Ben thanks for sticking by us! To anyone else – Go see Ben if you want to purchase a fixer –or are moving toward a more difficult transaction. Bought a home in 2013 in Mission, San Francisco, CA 94110.

Ben was a great real estate agent and I would recommend him to anyone! He's very knowledgeable of both CA and SF-specific requirements and was willing to sit and walk me through all of the various forms, inspections, and other steps and requirements needed throughout the purchasing process. He even helped explain some of the mortgage questions I had in a much clearer manner than the mortgage broker. Of course that knowledge is useless unless you can get a hold of your agent, and Ben was very responsive and always available to have a quick call or meet during non M-F, 8-5 times. In viewing properties, he was quick to point out any pros or cons of the neighborhood, layout, and quality of remodeling work and always in a way to allow me to weigh them and make my own decisions. After he found the place that I eventually bought, he was strategic in the negotiation process, reviewed the strategy with me before putting in the bid, and in the end got me a very good price. Overall, I felt that Ben was a true unbiased professional who was there to help me the best he could. Thanks, Ben!  More Less
