I have an old home in CT pre 1900.  Is it more efficient to heat my home with forced air or with a boiler?  I have a boiler with really large old raidiators in each room that make noise and hiss.  I have a 1 year old that is walking now and likes to touch everything as well...but I am assuming the cost to switch will be high...

I have 120 pound dog that we let run around in our bad yard, every spring I try and grow grass, I am successfull but once the dog gets back out there it gets pulled up.  I was thinking of fencing in the front yard and giving the back yard a rest from the dog for a few months to really let thigns grow in.  Any thoughts or other ideas that might work?

Check out GREENandSAVE.com, they have simple ROI calculators that break out what you shoudl do first.  They also have an energy audit program, I have not tried this yet as my home is so old I am startign with changing my light bulbs first...
