Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $375K in Northwest Heights, Portland, OR.
We enjoyed working with Blake. When we started our search we knew we wanted to live somewhere in NW Portland but we were undecided about whether to buy a Condo in The Pearl or a home in Forest Heights. My wife and I work Nike and Intel so we were trying to find a great location with the least painful commute. Blake did an awesome job showing us a bunch of properties helping us figure out what was best for us.
In the end, we decided to purchase a home in Forest Heights. The first property we had under contract was a fixer upper. Blake did a heck of a job negotiating price and in the end it failed inspection due to water damage. We were bummed out but Blake stayed positive and never applied any pressure to buy. The next house under contract was a short-sale. Blake guided us through the entire process and we had the keys within 90 days!
There are many reasons I would recommend Blake. He's very knowledgeable about Portland, especially NW. He has a wealth of information about the local neighborhoods and he knows so much about the buildings in the Pearl. Most of all he was fun to work with and kept us laughing.

Blake was recommended to me by another real-estate insider who gushed about Blake's high level of skill and acumen in dealing with condo units that fit my property type.
True to my friend's word, Blake was an excellent agent. Blake is responsive, interactive, honest, and willing to go the extra mile.

Bought a home in 2012.
Blake is an exceptional realtor.
We found that Blake is a keen listener and he fully understood our needs.
The moment we found our home, Blake has been our projector manager putting us
in contact with a lender, home inspector and insurance broker.
His knowledge of Portland, strong negotiation and communication skills were critical
in helping us through the entire home buying process.

Bought a Condo home in 2012 in Pearl District, Portland, OR.
We recently purchased a condo in the Pearl district with Blake Ellis and I just cannot say enough about this fine young man! He was a true professional in every sense of the word and helped us find exactly what we were looking for on our very first outing! We were able to move in within a month, which was very important to my husband who is a very busy physician and did not have a lot of free time. Blake researched an extensive array of preliminary listings for us to preview in order to narrow down our preferences, and we had a wonderful and enjoyable day looking at the final choices. He offered great insight into each property and shared his expert knowledge of the neighborhoods shown to us as well. Each time we met he gave us his full undivided attention in a calm, cheerful and respectful manner which was greatly appreciated. We never felt rushed or pushed when looking at the property options. He is very well connected and was a fantastic "go to" resource when we needed to contract a painter, a mover and a number of other services. We would definitely contact Blake again if we needed to buy or sell a property and we have recommended him highly to ALL of our friends and colleagues.

Sold a Condo home in 2012 in Pearl District, Portland, OR.
Blake Ellis took on the sale of our condo with lightening speed. We live in California, so our relationship was long distance, but that didn't hinder his ability to keep us constantly informed and to respond immediately to our concerns and questions. He is a talented photographer and copy writer, so our marketing material was produced seemingly overnight and beautifully. We couldn't be happier with the process we experienced with Blake and recommend him without any reservations whatsoever.

Blake is absolutely the best in the business. At the encouragement of
my husband who had worked with him in the past, I contacted Blake to
purchase an investment property in downtown Portland. He is
knowledgable, hard working and extremely in-tune with the local real
estate market (and a great negotiator too).

Blake was a terrific help finding and buying my house.
He made the process painless.
He's very easy to work with and made the experience fun.
Blake is very responsive and I felt good knowing that he was in my corner, looking out for my best interests.

Sold a home in 2011.
As I told Blake, I honestly believe that I wouldn't have gotten my place sold at my price without him as my Realtor. What impressed me the most was the positive approach he took to every aspect of the process, even though as we all know, there is plenty to be pessimistic about in the current market. I had bought and sold a number of properties prior to this with other Realtors and came across Blake almost by accident, but I'm very glad that fate sent him my way. If I buy another property you can bet I'll have Blake represent me in that process as well.

Sold a Condo home in 2011 in Pearl District, Portland, OR.
Blake was superb in getting our condo sold in a very tough market. The flyers were very well done, he managed to get a photo placed in a magazine spread, and he kept us informed throughout the process of comparable units that were on the market and/or sold. When the deal was close to falling apart, Blake went the extra mile to facilitate everything with the condo HOA, the buyer's agent, and the buyer in order to get things back on track.
I also used him to buy my current property, which was a short sale therefore it was really up to the seller's bank etc.
