We were not from the area, but needed a home. Bob showed us 30+ townhouses in a weekend. We found exactly what we were looking for and have Bob to thank for it.

I met Bob Myers in2010 when I decided to buy a house in MD to be near my kids and watch my grandchildren grow up. He showed us many homes over the time period i had allotted to find a house. We looked in several communities for the kind of house we wanted. We invested much time in this process, but we became educated about the Montgomery Co. market He supplied many listings as we were working on line from out of state. He spent quite a lot of time showing us what we wanted to see, and pointed out the good and bad of each house. When we finally found what we thought we wanted, he helped me negotiate an agreement we could both endorse. He is great at writing a contract and as a negotiator. He is always thinking of how to overcome obstacles. If you want a talented, ethical and "hustling" agent, select Bob Myers. He tells you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. Some agents do not subscribe to that philosophyHe is always thinking of how to overcome obstacles. .

Bob was excellent in the turnaround on both the purchase of our new house and the sale of our old house. He was flexible, quick, and tried to anticipate any future problems or issues. I would definitely recommend him.

We used Bob and Ann Myers to sell our single family home in Kensington and buy a new home in Olney. We began the process by interviewing 4 different realty teams from varying brokerages. We made our selection based on several factors including market awareness, experience, marketing presentation, price and personality. While they were mostly competitive in price, experience and market awareness, we felt like we had a better connection to Bob and Ann and their marketing seemed a little sharper. Bear in mind that you don’t have a lot of time to gauge all of these factors, so you have to take a leap of faith based on the information you’re presented with.
We took the leap, and we are certainly glad we did! Our house was on the market on Thursday and under contract on Saturday. The marketing of the house was spectacular. Bob and Ann use all of the standard websites to list our home as well as brochures and social media. We had a very impressive virtual tour, stand-alone website and spectacular pictures that truly capture how great the house is. We sold for $40,000 more than we listed. You might say that this would indicate a lack of market awareness on the part of our realtor, but the house appraised for exactly what we listed it (Bob was spot on). We had 6+ offers to choose from (all well over asking) and ended up going with one without an appraisal or inspection contingency. The market was extremely hot when we sold, so we got absolute top dollar for our house.
The buying process was a bit more stressful. Now we were buying in a hot sellers’ market. I have a feeling that Bob has a lot of clients, but you wouldn’t know it by the attention he gave us. We looked at many different houses. We looked at some that didn’t have our “must-have’s” because it gave us a better understanding of the market and what is and isn’t selling. Bob obliged our requests probably knowing full well that it wasn’t going to work for us.
We found a house that we wanted to put an offer in on pretty quickly. Even though we went in over asking, we lost out to a cash offer well over asking. Our search continued, and Bob was at our beckon call. Sometimes we’d have 3 toddlers in tow and he was extremely patient and understanding with the chaos that comes with 3 children 4 and under. We finally found a house that we thought was way underpriced and went in with a very strong offer. Once again, we appeared to be thwarted by cash offer without an appraisal contingency. After speaking with my mortgage broker and Bob, we decided to modify our offer to be more competitive and remove the appraisal and inspection contingency. Let me just say that Bob and Ann went above and beyond what was to be expected to get this very complicated and emotional contract ratified. I won’t go in to the details, but there are some really sleazy people out there and Bob isn’t one of them. The house appraised for well over what we paid for it and the inspection (performed by two very proficient inspectors) reported no concerns.
We will certainly recommend Bob and Ann to our friends and family. I hope anyone reading this review finds it useful in making their decision.

He is quick to respond to your call- I was as important as any other of his clients-and he had time for me regardless of his busy schedule. His marketing is great and viewed everywhere online, with great info. He knew how to price my house for sellling and the whole process from putting up the sign to selling was a little over a month!

Bob worked with me for over a year in my on-and-off search for a condo. He spent a number of weekends with me viewing homes in Montgomery and Fairfax counties and was never pushy to get me to purchase before I found what I loved. He always had my interests first and was patient as I shopped for mortgage and home insurance. When my closing had to be pushed back by a week (to no fault of his), he was there to help me through the issues and to get all the parties on the same page to get the deal closed. I would definitely recommend Bob to anyone looking for an agent in this area.

11/15/2012 - ehenmuellerSold a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $900K in Rockville, MD.
Bob and Ann Meyers were very helpful during the selling and buying process. Ann Meyers was especially good at staging our home for sale. The on-line pictures really showcased our home and I believe resulted in a lot of interest from buyers. Bob Meyers was very responsive to the phone calls and the questions we had regarding the negotiations for both selling and buying. If Bob did not pick-up the call right away, we could usually expect a call back within a few minutes.
We would definitly recommend Bob and Ann Meyers for anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the Washington D.C. area.

We selected Bob after interviewing 3 agents from three different RE firms. If you are a first time home buyer, I would recommend that you go with Bob. He has great knowledge about the Montgomery county RE market and can predict with 99% accuracy the price at which the home will be sold. While Bob is a great agent and returns calls promptly, he is busy (no surprise here -- who wants an agent that can't close deals). At the beginning, we discussed with Bob about what we are looking for and stayed on course with our requirements. It took us three months in 2012 spring market to close the deal and we looked at about 20 houses with Bob and many more on our own. Bob's analysis of the properties was always on the mark and the contract we finally made was well negotiated. Bob stayed right on top of things and made sure that all deadlines were met on time. He is hardworking and dedicated, and will reply to your email even at 11 in the night. Overall, he is a true professional and definitely one of the best agents in Montgomery County.

Bob Myers is a superb realtor because he is dedicated to his ckients and to his profession, He, with the the able assistance of his wife Ann, put my wife's modest town home on the market last July 1, and after 50-60 visits from prospective buyers and one price reduction, my wife closed on August 31. Bob was with us on a daily basis answering questions and keepng our spirits up even when we thought no one wanted to buy our home. He kept telling us that once the offers started they would continue to come, and they did. He sat with us and counseled us on how to deal with each offer, always allowing us to make the decisions and never attempting to talk us into to what he thought was best. By taking our time and wioeghing each offer with Bob's friendly guidance, we eeventually received a cash offer at a price higher than we had expected.. He was also great on the buying end, again gently encouraging us and guiding us during the four months of short sale negotiations. He was with us every difficult and unoften uncertain step of this process. On settlement day in December, he handed us a bottle of champagne, and we hugged him and told him that acquiring our dream house would not have been possible without his constant reassurance and knowledgeable support. It goes without saying that my wife and I think there's nor more personable and talented realtor in the DC area than Bob Myers.

I thought with all the online tools today you don't really need an agent, but I realized that the negotiation process, contract writing and all the important details and processes of purchasing a house really makes is extremely worthwhile to have a buyers agent.
I am very glad I found Bob, he was extremely professional, personable, helpful and knowledgeable about all aspects of finding and purchasing a home (and I know his wife was doing a lot of behind the scenes work as well). I would highly recommend him (and his wife), without any reservations, to whomever is looking for a home to buy (or rent). I plan on working with Bob again in the near future (I need to sell my previous home).
