Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $175K in Manchester, NH.
I have known Brenda for many years. When it came time for me to be in the position to buy a new house, she was my first call. Even though I was looking in Manchester and she lives on the coast, she was more than helpful in finding houses in the area I wanted to live and spent a weekend showing these houses to me. She was completely in tune with my needs (I have 2 teenage boys) and wanted a neighborhood where a lot of their friends lived. When I finally found the house I wanted, in the right neighborhood she was instrumental in helping me get together the documentation I would need to proceed. Brenda was always available to talk when I called. She answered all the questions I had about the house in a very prompt manner and I never had to wait for answers. She would give them to me the same day I asked. She researched what the costs were for heat, etc., to make sure that I wasn't getting in over my head. I would recommend Brenda to anybody and everybody looking for a house, even if its not locally where she lives. She spent an entire Saturday with me showing me multiple houses in one day. If you need a realtor, I would HIGHLY recommend her!
My husband and I just moved from California to New Hampshire. We were starting from scratch on who to contact when looking for a house. We knew no one in the area. When researching online, I came across Brenda Paradis at Re/Max On the Move in North Hampton. One of the best decisions I have made. Not only was she eager to find the right place for us, she knew of many resources to contact locally. She gave sound advice and listened to our questions. Many a night she was working to make the process go through smoothly. If you are relocating here, Brenda is the one to contact for finding your new home.
Brenda was very high energy and accomodating, and a pleasure to deal with. Polite and professional. She went out of her way from the very beginning to win my business. I was lying in bed late one night and had sent Zillow an inquiry on a cottage/home that I saw in Hampton Beach area. It was like 10:30ish at night. Brenda called me right back, right then! I was so surprised when the phone rang almost instantly after having clicked "send" on my ipad. I answered with a laugh in my voice, and said "WOW". She laughed too, and explained that she figured if I had just sent the email that I must be awake. Logical! She proved to be knowledgeable about the Hampton area right off the bat. Both North Beach and Hampton Beach locations (that I had been torn between for several months) - and she explained the differences (postive of each) and what those differences would potentially mean to me as a buyer. This was again, at 10:30 at night. She was excellent at fact finding and asked me what my needs were, what I planned on doing with the house both short term and long term, (rent it, live in it, retire to it, etc.) I had told her that I had been shopping on Zillow for months and had sent a ton of requests and had not committed to any one Realtor, and that really, I was all over the map- literally and figuratively on what it was I (and my husband) really wanted and where we wanted it. She was totally fine with that, and continued to do her fact finding. The very next morning she was texting me with photos and general descriptive info, including the clocked mileage (down to the fractions of a mile), from front door to the Ocean, on 3 properties. She went to 3 properties that I had babbled about the night before. I never asked her to, I never told her I would do business with her, nothing. She just took the initiative on her own and did it. And she kept doing it, and kept checking in with me. And every time she would do this, I learned more about what it was that I really was looking for, and what it was that made the most sense (financially and for the stage in my life). She would serve as a sounding board ( and believe me, I can be nuts and stressed easily, and very indecisive sometimes), but rather than her give up on me and move to an easier client, she stuck with me, showing respect and patience throughout the journey, and through the process, she always helped me come to some sensible conclusions based on what she had learned about me ( my personal situation, my personality, my tastesm etc.). I had found the girl to help me do this. I decided that Brenda had "earned" my business to act as my buyer agent. It has been a little over 3 months now from when I first met Brenda and my husband and I are now the proud owners of the perfect little beach house on one of the best streets in the Hampton Beach area, that we do plan to rent out weekly and also enjoy ourselves whenever possible, and who knows, someday retire to it! THANK YOU BRENDA! APPRECIATE ALL YOU DID AND ALL YOU PUT UP WITH, LOL!
Showed home in 2013 in Smith Corner, South Hampton, NH 03827.
Brenda was very enthusiastic at first but she then became rather pushy. The house itself was not out of our price range, but she failed to notice the cost of heating the house which would push it out of our range. She also wouldn't show the house on the weekend and my husband and I both work during the week. Needless to say, we found ourselves a new agent. Don't get me wrong, she was very nice, and if you already know you want the house and don't need any expert advice, then Brenda's your agent.
Response from Brenda on 01/27/2014
I do apologize for any misunderstanding. I am always available on weekends. Our first showing was on the weekend; then your parents were brought for a second showing during mid week at a time that was available to everyone. I was always available on the weekend as well. So I am not quite sure where this is coming from. The request for the heating cost was made at the second showing. Being "pushy" took me completely by surprise. Had I known the reason for the non-responsiveness after the second showing, I would not have continued to try to make contact for feedback on the home. In any event, I enjoyed meeting you both and wish you happiness in your new home.
