A long time client recently said: " As a real estate broker, Happy McLeod brings the words "new view" to a level that has not existed before. She works with me diligently as I search for that perfect place to call ‘my new home.' I know Happy ‘understands me' and makes no effort to sway me into a home that would not make me completely satisfied. She doesn't push her own opinions, yet is willing to share her thoughts openly with a Southern charm that is endearing and very much appreciated. Happy is realistic. She is my second pair of eyes. I trust her. Beautifully prepared, dynamic and knowledgable in all aspects of the current real estate market in both North and South Carolina, Happy McLeod is one of a kind!"
In my eleven years of experience, I strive to meet the real estate needs of Buyers and Sellers alike with a high degree of professional service. I am licensed in NC and SC. Having spent the early part of my life in Spartanburg,SC, Tryon, NC and New York, NY I am no stranger to the Tryon area. After graduating from The Spence School in NYC, I attended Converse College and hold a BA Degree in Sociology and a Master in Public Administration from USC. Before beginning a second career in real estate, I worked with county boards developing community services for people with disabilities and special needs. My dream to move back to Tryon came true in 2008. Community has always been what I am all about. Presently I chair the Gillette Woods Home Owners Association and am a member of Tryon's Planning & Adjustments Board. Most Sunday mornings will find me at Jacksons Grove Church. Although I no longer ride, I still enjoy my love of horses by volunteering at Tryon Riding & Hunt Club shows & events. My son, Mullins, is a founding shareholder in Pierce, Herns, Sloan, McLeod, a Charleston, SC Litigation Firm. My daughter, Maxine Walker, is the Managing Broker of a real estate office in Old Town Alexandria, VA. I have 2 precious granddaughters, Lydia and Emmy, and a rescue pup,"Zechariah". In my spare time I enjoy time spent with my family and friends, entertaining and cooking, and walking, especially along the Pacolet River at Harmon Field. The basement of my home is being transformed into an art studio where I hope to start painting again. For over twenty years I have been a lay prayer minister and trained under such greats as Judith & Francis MacNutt, John Wimber and David & Mary Pitches. Contact me at happy@NewViewRealtyLLC.com
