Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $175K in Wake Forest, NC.
We chose to with Barbara Gressems from Buyers Advantage Group Realty to purchase our home in Wake Forest because of her impressive reviews on Zillow and we were not disappointed.
We lived in Omaha and moved to Wake Forest in April. In mid March, I came to North Carolina to look for houses with Barbara. Barbara devoted several hours for 4 days for my house search. She searched for houses that met our specialized requirements and was prepared for the search when she picked me up the next day.
We found our house the next day, a foreclosure and had a Purchase Agreement and financing started before I left for Omaha again.
Barbara knows ALL of the minutae involved in purchasing a home from Fannie Mae.
As well, she knows construction and the housing industry, exceeding well. She has a cadre of specialists she will recommend for remodeling, painting, carpentry, tiling, you name it.
If you don't use Barbara to purchase your next house, don't complain about the service you get from the realtor you chose.

Would definitely recommend Barbara and have! She spent many hours helping us search for just the right home. Very difficult because we were out of state and moving to NC. She was WONDERFUL!! She would email us a list of houses and then would have viewings arranged when we arrived into town. Many hours logged with us. Love her! Nice to have an agent that works for the buyer.
Buyer's Advantage helped us buy our house when our landlords decided to sell the house we had been renting for 4+ years. We were able to make an offer before they ever listed it, saving both us and our landlords/sellers some hassle and some money. Our agent really held our hands through the whole process, since we were first time home buyers. We were amazed by how smooth and easy they made it all seem, even when we had to jump through extra hoops for our USDA financing. When/if we're ever in the market for another house, we would certainly work with them again. We can't recommend them highly enough.

Barbara is the best agent that anyone could ask for. She helped us purchase a house in the Knightdale area. Me and my wife are very picky and we had a hard time deciding on a house, anything I liked she didn't, anything she liked I didn't. During this time Barbara was extremely pleasant and ever forgiving our pickiness. We saw around 37 houses before it was all over.
We did find a home we liked more then anything else. The only problem is that it was over $25k higher then our max. Through negotiations the sellers came close but didn't quite meet our goal. While we looked into other properties Barbara continued to work with the sellers to get us a better deal. She was able to bring the price down to within $4k of our max, get us closing costs and new appliances. Even still she was able to negotiate a lower interest rate which brought our payments to under our budget.
During the closing process she was as vigilant as always. Sending us updates and keeping in touch. Being a former builder she knew what to look for during the inspection and walk through. She was constantly nit picking everything from the seller to make sure that our house was perfect.
I highly recommend Barbara to anyone looking to buy a house. She is great to work with and genuinely cares about her clients.

Agent had knowledge of various aspects of home building, so she knew what to look for both positive and negative. She pushed to have sellers make repairs as needed. Minimized the stress for us; did a great job all around.

My experience with Buyer's Advantage Group Realty is one that will remain with me my entire life. My agent, Barbara Gressens was, by far, the most knowledgeable agent I have ever worked with and I have worked with several. Barbara and I sat down and dicussed what I was looking for in a new home and she didn't leave out a detail. We looked at several homes and every time she pointed out what was good about the house and the areas she thought needed repair or would cause a problem in the future. She was very, very objective. She was always there for me whenever I had a question, was always on time for our appointments, was very thorough in the search and we really had a lot of fun. The final decision as to which house to purchase was always mine but it meant a great deal to have her knowledge and expertise when it came to items I wasn't aware of. She was with me from the very first appointment through the closing. If I ever decide to purchase another home in the surrounding area, I will definitely be giving Barbara a call.

I have used Barbara G for 2 home purchases and recommended her to many friends who have also used her. The fact that she is a Exclusive Buyers Agent is the main reason we chose her and since then we have come to expect nothing but quality personal service. She works hard on our behalf and has extensive contacts and knowledge in the real-estate, construction, financing and related areas that have proved most helpful in out home buying process.
Many thanks for all the hours she worked on our behalf.
Bought a Single Family home in 2009 for approximately $150K in Garner, NC.
We were buying a house after living in our previous home, in another state, for 16 years. Barb G was a complete pleasure to work with. The fact that she is 100% on the buyers side ends up getting you the most for your money. There were times we thought we found what we wanted, but instead of just collecting a commission, Barb did the grunt work of finding out tax & lien info, and because of her knowledge of building practices, could point out potential problems. We are now coming up on our 2nd year in the home she helped us find, zero problems and a great neighborhood. If you're selling, go to a real estate agent; If you're buying, go to Buyers Advantage Group!

Barbara Gressens offered us our first experience utilizing a Buyer Agent. We were sold by her professionalism and knowledge from the very begining. She is so knowledgable of the entire home-purchasing process from start to finish which gave us a real sense of ease. She literally did all of the work, it was easy to follow her lead because we felt she had our best interest at heart. She also has a wonderful personality and sense of humor which was helpful during the stressful times. We have already recommended her to a few people and will continue to do so. We are also very pleased with the purchase of our new home!
