Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $300K in Raleigh, NC.
We had a wonderful experience buying our first home with Barbara G. I cannot express how grateful I am that we found her. She has always been so professional and courteous but at the same time friendly and down to earth. I’ve lost track of how many homes we looked at over the 4 months before we found “the one” but she never lost her patience or made us feel pressured to buy, she only assured us that a house was out there for us.

It was so reassuring to walk through a house with Barbara and have her point out all the pros and cons of what matched and didn’t match our wish list and what would need to be repaired. We had a quick closing and Barbara was there every step of the way and even had a contractor come out to get estimates on repairs when we couldn’t be there. I would highly recommend her services to anyone who is in the market to buy a new home. Thank you so very much Barbara for all your hard work!

Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $200K in Wake Forest, NC.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about how helpful Barbara G. has been through our entire home-buying process. Her professionalism and knowledge of the real estate market is exceptional. Her willingness to go above the call of duty - even after our home purchase was finalized - speaks to how much she enjoys her job. My husband and I were looking for a home in a new area, and probably had a few unrealistic expectations as to what we could afford. Barbara guided us through the learning process that is involved, and educated us about the many changes in real estate laws that had taken place since our last home purchase. After looking at what must have been 30-40 homes, the frustration of the process was wearing us thin. Barbara was never discouraged, and was adamant that our perfect home was out there. Touring a home with Barbara was something like seeing the home with x-ray vision. While we were still deciding whether a turn-key home or a fixer-upper would best meet our needs, Barbara could go through a home and in 10 minutes we would know what renovations were most needed and were given a ballpark estimate of what they would cost. We chose a home that needed mostly cosmetic updates and Barbara referred us to a contractor that we were very pleased with. I would recommend Barbara G. to ANYONE. She is an honest, no-nonsense professional with a good sense of humor. I wish her the best.

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $175K in Knightdale, NC.
We jumped into the market for the first time with BAGR. We couldn't have been happier with them.

From the beginning, BAGR made it clear that they were a buyer's agent--that legally and professionally, they weren't there to move anyone's inventory, or to rush a deal so they could move on to the next client. They emphasized that customer service and return service was their business model--and it worked. We couldn't be happier with our purchase, and when it comes time to sell, BAGR will be the agency we go with.

Barbara G.(our agent) brought a lot of experience to the table that proved to be an incredibly valuable asset. Barbara has extensive experience as a builder and a contractor--she knows the builders, she knows the materials, and she can answer honestly questions about maintenance and upkeep.

It didn't take Barbara long to get a good feel for what we were looking for, and begin to steer us towards homes that fit our needs and wants. Barbara was extremely patient and didn't rush us, or push us towards a home or neighborhood. Ultimately, we found a home we loved, in the neighborhood we loved, and at a price that we could live with.

If you haven't done the research on "Exclusive Buyer's Agents" in North Carolina, please do so--you'll be surprised to find that legally, other agents don't have to look after your best interest. BAGR is one of the few firms in the area that operates as an exclusive buyer's agency. I highly recommend that you do the research, and I highly recommend BAGR for your real estate needs in the Triangle.

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $175K in Raleigh, NC.
We had a wonderful experience with Marge at Buyers Advantage Group. As first time buyers, we had many questions and some trepidation during the buying process. Marge worked very hard to answer all of our questions and ease any concerns that arose. She was very patient with us during our house hunt and her expert negotiation skills really shone through once we selected a property. We were thankful to have her in our corner and are thrilled to finally be homeowners. I would highly recommend Marge at Buyers Advantage Group!

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $225K in Wake Forest, NC.
Our realtor was very knowledgeable about the local areas and was a great help in deciding which neighborhoods and subdivisions to buy a house in. She also took great care of us from the beginning to the end. We were first time home buyers and we never felt like we did not know what was going to happen next. Our realtor was also very easy to talk to and to address our concerns with. She helped us put our wants and our needs into perspective with regard to our budget. The most important value that we received from our realtor was that there was never any pressure to make any decisions. We truly felt that she was on our side only and not on the side of any seller. This would have to be our defining characteristic of our realtor. We definitely felt like her only objective was to make sure we were happy and were not being taken advantage of at any stage in our decisions!

Showed home in 2012 in Duncan, Holly Springs, NC 27540.
We would like to give a very positive reference for Barbara Gressens. Barbara has been a pleasure to work with! She is an intelligent and thoughtful person who listened carefully to our needs and wishes and worked diligently to provide listings of suitable homes. She showed a lot of patience with us and with the process. She was ready and willing to change gears when we made alterations in our home-buying criteria. She didn’t hesitate to issue a warning about potential problems with any home, she was clear and honest; but at no time did we feel a lack of support or respect coming from her. We knew she was on our side and would take care of what was important to us. Also, because of her strong negotiating skills, we had confidence that she would help us to get the best possible deal on a home. We appreciated the fact that she has had extensive experience in both real estate and building, which meant she had invaluable advice for us when looking at various homes. She even has many contacts that will help her clients after a home purchase, such as making renovations, additions, etc.

Showed home in 2012 in Northwest Raleigh, Raleigh, NC 27607.
My husband and I have purchased several homes in our life. We have never worked with a more professional and knowledgeable realtor than Barbara Gressens. She didn't just smile and point out pretty features of the home we were looking at. She came to our showing armed with information about the neighborhood and home value. She did not hesitate to point out areas of concern in the home. I feel confident that Barbara really wants her clients to find the right home . . . not just make a sale. We will never work with anyone other than Barbara Gressens for the purchase of a home.

Bought a home in 2012.
My wife and I moved from a town home in Durham to a single family home in Hillsborough, NC last month. We selected Barbara G as our agent based on a strong unsolicited (and repeated) recommendation from a co-worker. We are very happy we did! As I have purchased and sold a home in the past, I have become accustomed to know what to expect from a real estate agent. But when using an exclusive buyer's agent like Barbara, "There IS a difference!" as she says in her tagline.

She worked exceptionally hard for us to find the perfect home meeting our fairly strict criteria and was cognizant of our deadline of being out of our previous home. My wife and I had difficult schedules to work around, but Barbara was always available for us. Despite her having a number of other clients, we always felt like we were the only ones. The week we closed, she had 3-4 other closings, yet she went through two walk-throughs for us, arranged a painter, and attended closing.

As she used to be a home builder, she has exceptional knowledge about homes. She took great pride in being there for us every step of the way and was always prompt with her communication, day or night. We would definitely work with Barbara again and will recommend her to anyone in the area looking to buy a home.

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $175K in Wake Forest, NC.
We chose to with Barbara Gressems from Buyers Advantage Group Realty to purchase our home in Wake Forest because of her impressive reviews on Zillow and we were not disappointed.

We lived in Omaha and moved to Wake Forest in April. In mid March, I came to North Carolina to look for houses with Barbara. Barbara devoted several hours for 4 days for my house search. She searched for houses that met our specialized requirements and was prepared for the search when she picked me up the next day.

We found our house the next day, a foreclosure and had a Purchase Agreement and financing started before I left for Omaha again.

Barbara knows ALL of the minutae involved in purchasing a home from Fannie Mae.

As well, she knows construction and the housing industry, exceeding well. She has a cadre of specialists she will recommend for remodeling, painting, carpentry, tiling, you name it.

If you don't use Barbara to purchase your next house, don't complain about the service you get from the realtor you chose.

Thank you

Bev Mottershead
