To be quite honest, I don't think there is really much to selling a home when your home is fairly marketable on its own and you do some basic things to spruce it up a little (fresh paint, flowers, clean, staging, etc.). Now the buyer's agents on the other hand, they work really hard and they are the ones that are truly "selling" your home and are probably putting in about 20 times the hours that the seller's agent is so I always thought it was ridiculous that the seller's agent was making more money than the buyer's agents and I refused to spend that much money on a service that I felt was not worth what they were charging. I think the problem is that the industry has changed but the pricing structure has remained traditional. Back in the day sure it was tough to sell a house because you had to go out and hang fliers, put ads in newspapers, magazines, etc. But nowadays everything is on the internet just about all you have to do is post it on MLS. I almost decided to just do for sale by owner and pay to have it listed on MLS, but there is two reasons I didn't:

1. I did not want to deal with the paperwork portion and hiring a lawyer worrying constantly if I am doing it right or if I was missing a step in the process 2. I wanted help with the negotiation process

When I found out about Carolina's Choice, I was very attracted to their pricing model as it seemed to make more sense to me for the service that is provided by a seller's agent and I am so glad that I made the decision to go with them. I honestly expected less from a discount service like this, but my guess is they did just as good if not better than some of the other full price services out there especially when it came to the closing portion. The only negative I could possibly give is that the response times were a little lagging, but again I sort of expected that just because I did not come into it expecting that high touch personal experience that other full price realtors may offer. But who needs all of that? Carolina's Choice gave me exactly the level of attention I needed and they got the job done just as good as anyone else would in my opinion. The closing portion is the most nerve racking and David's wife was absolutely amazing at handling this process and the final negotiations. It takes a lot to impress me and she just really killed it on every level and and went way above and beyond.

Overall, awesome job by these guys. I will always use Carolina's Choice when I sell any home!

David and Courtney are fantastic and I recommend them as often as possible to my friends. Despite a very difficult condo market, David was able to secure a deal for very close to the full asking price. The flat-fee service made me a little nervous in the beginning because I wasn't sure what kind of service we would get, however I was pleasantly surprised to find that Carolina's Choice Real Estate gives you everything that you need despite the cheaper price. David took care of all of the negotiations and made it as stress-free as possible.

Courtney took care of my closing and paperwork since I had already moved to a new state. She was very attentive and professional. I was 100% satisfied!

We couldn't have been more satisfied with Carolina's Choice Real Estate. Going with David's flat-fee service made the negotiations less stressful knowing that we wouldn't have to shell out a percentage of the sale price to our Realtor. In today's world of online home searches, there's little to no reason to go with an old-school "full-service" Realtor. Getting our home listed on the MLS was the single most important factor in selling our home. They were able to get our home on the market and sold in under two weeks. The flat-fee services offered by Carolina's Choice Real Estate are all you need to sell your home.

Courtney handled our closing and paperwork following the negotiations. We had already moved out of state so her attentiveness and professionalism were tremendously helpful. The peace of mind we received knowing that Courtney was handling the details of our sale was invaluable.

In past few years, I have met quiet a few realtors in different states where I lived and based on my experience it is hard to find a realtor who works for your best interest. Most of the traditional real estate firms/realtors want to get the deal done so that they can get their commission fast irrespective of whether it is in their client’s favor or not. So when it was time to sell our home in Raleigh, I did not even consider going thru traditional real estate firms based on my past experience and I’m glad I found Carolina’s Choice Real Estate.
