Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $350K in Woodside, CA.
Charles is the most skilled, communicative, and caring real estate agent I have worked with. My mother was apprehensive about the process of selling a property that had been in the family for half a century and told me she would need someone patient and knowledgeable to help her - someone who would "hold her hand" through what she knew would be a challenging and emotional transition. I mentioned my mother's requirements to Charles on our first phone call and he never once let us down! He kept us informed throughout, handled difficulties as they came up, and was eminently patient! In the end, the property sold to a wonderful couple and my mother couldn't be happier! Thank you, Charles!

Charles Norman is the best realtor I've ever worked with.
Charles was responsive to our needs. He understood what my wife and I were looking for, and focused his energy and ours, on properties that met our guidlines. Sounds obvious enough, but I can't emphasize how important it is to use the limited energy and time we professionals have on looking only at homes of the right size, bedroom and bath count, location and school preferences. Next, Charles has a wealth of knowledge and understanding about the quality of structures. He helped us steer clear of certain homes that while appearing in good shape, were masking previous problems and future headaches. He would walk through the property and show us the evidence of issues in the structure or yard and told us to stay away from properties we might have otherwise mistakenly committed ourselves to. Finally, Charles has an understanding of the flow and functionality of homes. While we got caught up in certain elements we liked, he would present the advantages and shortcomings of different floor plans and architectural elements to give us the ability to make an informed decision.
Unlike previous experiences, Charles was not interested in selling us a home we might regret. More and more, my wife and I begun to rely on his insight to make sure that we weren't making a mistake. The result, was that when we did finally find a home we liked, it was a home that flowed, that was built well, that was priced correctly, and that we are so happy to call our home.
What is also important to add, is that Charles worked with us on strategies to win the bid for the home without overspending. In my exuberance, I was ready to offer what ultimately ended up being $40K more than what we spent, thanks to Charles. If you're still reading you've probably already realized the point I'm making is that Charles is a realtor you can trust to look out for you. If you've worked with many realtors, you'll know what an absolutely rare and wonderful characteristic that is.
After purchasing our home, we didn't think twice about asking Charles to sell our condo. Charles was very resourceful, putting together a team to spruce up and stage our codo so it would sell for its full potential. He held multiple open houses and brokerage tours and worked with us to get the highest possible price for our unit.
We couldn't be more happy with Charles Norman, and I hope you give him a chance to represent your real estate needs. You won't regret it.
Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $1.175M in San Ramon, CA.
We're lucky to have Charles as our realtor. He is very professional and knowledgeable of the current housing market. He very patiently showed us many many homes in the area we thought we wanted. He also went to view many homes for us and gave us his feedback about that home. It's save us a lots of time for searching a home in bay area housing market. He didn't try and push any alternatives, but when we finally realized we need to change direction he was there with recommendations that lead us to find our dream house. Charles is a very strong negotiator and was 100% there for us as we work our way through issues and a demanding from lender. He is always on top of everything, quick in follow up, team work with my loan agent and make sure we have everything needed in the whole purchased process.
I can highly recommend Charles Norman for your real estate needs.
Thank you Charles again and we are looking forward to work with you in the near future.
Charles was not a local realtor, but in a short time he knew what was needed to sell our house. He kept in constant communication with us and did more than expected in preparing the house for the market he identified as our target. His ability to negotiate and the process he has in place to get that final GOOD offer are outstanding.
Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $825K in Santa Cruz, CA.
Charles has the most integrity of any realtor my wife and I have worked with. He went out of his way to get us the best possible bottom line for our property. He was completely available in assisting us with making the property presentable for the open house. He handled all interactions with prospective buyers, other realtors, and support people in an highly professional manner. We would use him again should the need arise.
Charles is a real pro. Before the sale of my home finalized, several roadblocks popped up. Charlie never waivered, he had a tremendous understanding of the process and helped guide me every step of the way. He was always available and quick to respond to my requests. I would go out of my way to recommend Charlie to anyone who was looking to buy or sell.
Charlie helped me purchase a vacant lot that I had been wanting to purchase for YEARS! His intervention was extremely fortuitous to say the least. I wanted a quick transaction and I believe that one week from our meeting to the title company sending the papers to the County Recorders office certainly met that requirement, don't you think?
His patience with me (I get a little dense at times) and willingness to take the time to explain each step along the way and answer all my phone calls and questions was fantastic!!
Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $250K in Boulder Creek, CA.
We met Charles by luck but in actuality, I can truly say we were lucky to have met him!! We were viewing different properties for sale, and at the very last one on the list, he was also viewing the property for a prospective buyer. We spoke, he gave us a card and from the first conversation, we immediately felt at ease with him.
We contacted him by phone and expressed that we had some special requests that we needed him to take into consideration. After discussing some particulars, he began sending me an email with prospective properties immediately, keeping in mind those conditions and always striving to make sure he maintained our best interest. Once we decided which properties we were interested in, we set up a tour of all of them on a short notice. in fact, there were several times I asked him to view properties on short notice and he was able to gain access to them quite quickly, working into whatever schedule was convenient for us. Before we visited the possibilities, he always did some research, letting us know of any potential reasons we may want to skip over our preliminary choices taking into account our aforementioned conditions; regardless, he always stood by the ready to help us view any property we were interested in.
We eventually decided to purchase a home and after Charles' effective advice and negotiation, we settled on an agreed price with the seller and their agent. Because the sale of the home would be a short sale, there were many procedural pitfalls and delays; through it all, not only was Charles knowledgeable, communicative, and forthright, he also assisted the sellers agent who had not done a short sale previously. As one major condition we faced was that we had to move by a certain date, he facilitated the process with expert precision, never losing sight of our deadline. In fact, whenever something seemed to be taking longer than normal, he immediately interfaced with the seller's agent which most often ended up in immediate results!
During each milestone of the process, Charles was quite effective at explaining things, furnishing approximate timelines and putting us at ease. His communications were always clear, in simple terms that were easily understood and never condescending. Furthermore, his availability for on-the-spot communication was excellent, in whatever medium available at the time - phone, instant messaging, or email!
In summation, I would strongly recommend Charles to anyone who might be interested in selling or buying real estate. He is intelligent, motivated, knowledgeable, and above all, very trustworthy.
Sold a Single Family home in 2010 in Santa Cruz, CA.
My wife and I hired Charles to sell our rental property located on
Pleasure Point in Santa Cruz.
He used an innovative sales and marketing strategy to get the home sold
for top dollar. We were so impressed with his approach that we recommended
him to my parents, who were downsizing from their home in Twain Harte. Charles
used the same sales and marketing strategy to sell my parents home and
once again, achieved remarkable results.
In both cases, he was able to attract multiple offers and create a
bidding war that resulted in a higher price than we were expecting.
I wouldn't hesitate to hire Charles again for all of my real estate
needs. His strategy works in virtually any market.
