I first moved to Greenville in 1971. My parents built a house at the foot of Paris Mountain
, which offered a wonderful playground for my brothers and me. I quickly grew fond of the wonderful people and the natural beauty surrounding me. Even while spending the second half of my childhood in Florida, I knew that one day I would return to Greenville.
You could say that my interest in real estate began as early as 1973 at the ripe old age of 5. My father, Barry, worked with the C. Dan Joyner real estate agency for two years. It was a tough time to work in real estate but my father enjoyed helping people purchase and sell their homes. I enjoyed having my father around during the week and riding with him on occasion to see the new houses being built.
I attended Wofford College
, playing football on the 1986-87 Terriers team. An injury sidelined me and I decided to finish my college career at Florida State University
where I graduated in 1990 (BS, Economics). I immediately returned to Greenville and, despite attempts by family and friends to lure me back to the Sunshine State, I've remained here ever since.
Overall, I've lived nearly 30 years in the Greenville area and have watched as the entire Upstate has transformed itself from "The Textile Capital of the World" to one of the most watched and respected industrial, cultural and educational areas of the world.
There is no place my wife and I would rather raise our family, and I'd love the opportunity to help you find the perfect home for your family.
