Bought a home in 2010.Summary:
Cheryl's website says "I do more" and it is true. I am humbled by how hard she worked on my behalf as I went through the process of buying my home. She was detail oriented, supportive, had great follow through and was patient throughout the process. As a first time home buyer, I had a lot of questions and Cheryl always made sure to take the time to answer everything. By providing complete information, she helped me to make informed decisions throughout the process. Cheryl is extremely resourceful and goes out of her way to help. She has great contacts and recommendations for inspections, but without pressure. I felt so confident at the loan signing because she and my mortgage broker were at my side.
I highly recommend Cheryl as a very competent and easy to work with professional.…More Less

Bought a Single Family home in 2011 in Noe Valley, San Francisco, CA.Summary:
I had the privilege of working with Cheryl to purchase my first property, a duplex, utilizing a FHA loan and HUD's 203(k) program. Cheryl worked with me over several months as I got a feel for the San Francisco housing market. Considering how long of a search I had, I never felt pressured during my time working with Cheryl. She patiently listened to what I thought would work for me and then came up with a strategy of how we could make it happen. She's the epitome of someone who wants to make sure you end up with the right house for your life situation, financial situation and comfort level.
Cheryl has access to all of the latest tools in the Real Estate business today. We were able to sign all of my documents online using DocuSign which saved countless hours of meeting in person to sign late-night offers, counter-offers, and counter-counter offers. Did you catch that she worked late nights for me? Way more than a few (Sorry, and thanks Cheryl).
On top of that she's been in the business long enough to know the right people to call for home and pest inspections. As a first time homebuyer, it brought great piece of mind knowing that I could trust her recommendations.
Lastly, when it came down to negotiating the terms of my purchase Cheryl fought for me tooth and nail. We were dealing directly with a bank who wanted absolutely nothing to do with us nor to budge on negotiating any fees, repairs, etc which is typically done during a property sale negotiation. Cheryl relentlessly worked with the bank to make them understand where we were coming from and that these concessions were typical for the current buyer’s market (at the time). All said and done, Cheryl was able to negotiate to have the bank pay 50% of the 5 digit costs of repairs which the property needed. Let's just say she more than earned her commission (a few times over).
For anyone looking for a professional, caring Real Estate agent look no further. You've found her.…More Less

Bought a Single Family home in 2010 for approximately $550K in Ingleside Heights, San Francisco, CA.Summary:
Cheryl was an absolute godsend to me in the house buying process. She was recommended to me as a professional recommendation and was perfect. She's kind, patient, and caring...even when my questions were stupid or just ignorant. I loved the docusign, it was so easy to click and sign something on my time, and she always explained it thoroughly. I truly appriciated everything she did, from helping me find the house, to recommending inspectors and closing our home. I'd recommend her anytime and will only use her when buying property.…More Less

About Cheryl Bower
Add personality to your profile! Tell the community about yourself, your home, and your profession.
As a third generation San Franciscan, Cheryl feels fortunate to have been raised in such a diverse, exciting city as San Francisco. Her fascination with S.F. real estate started at a young age. By her early twenties she had purchased her first home and learned firsthand the rewards of sweat equity.
A subsequent purchase was a five unit property in the Sunnyside where she quickly became engrossed with San Francisco's complicated and ever changing rent control laws from a property owner perspective. This experience has proven invaluable not only for the successful management of her property but for her investor clients who rely on her vast rental experience to help them successfully fill their vacant units with well qualified tenants. The system she's been consistently using for the past 10 years has resulted in a track record of zero evictions!
Cheryl enjoys working with a variety of clients ranging from investors to commercial clients to first time home buyers. She firmly believes in the tremendous benefits of owning real estate including the tax incentives, the gradual building of wealth and the satisfaction of being a property owner. As a Peninsula resident, she has the added experience of helping clients who are relocating between S.F. and the Peninsula.
She takes pride in helping clients navigate through the sale or purchase of a property, negotiating the best price and terms, as well as ensuring that all the details will be smoothly handled.
In her free time, Cheryl enjoys raising orchids, hiking with her dogs, renovating her Spanish Revival home in Burlingame, and enjoying the fantastic restaurants available in San Francisco and on the Peninsula.
