Four generations of my family are alive and well in Hampton Roads. Having grown up in Hampton Roads, having taught public school in Hampton Roads, and having watched Hampton Roads evolve into the burgeoning metropolis it is, I have a unique sense of life in Hampton Roads as well as its cultural, political, and economic lives.
I am married to the lovely and talented Janice Gayle Johnson, who serves as the Donor Relations Manager at WHRO, Hampton Roads' Public Broadcasting system. We're both active in various charitable causes, most notably Cape Henry Rotary, where I was the 2008-2009 President, and WHRO, where we are Leadership Circle donors.
