I want to thank Peggy Lyn for all that she did for us when we were selling and buying a new home last year. I have to start of stating that Peggy Lyn and her team are hands down the best real-estate team in the area! I highly recommend her and her team, they truly are exceptional. Here is our story:
Our townhouse in Olney was rapidly becoming too small for our expanding family and we were looking to make a move into a single family home in the area. We were introduced to Peggy Lyn through a trusted friend and quickly realized that she was a rock star – she knew the market well and was able to set realistic expectations for the adventure we were about to take. After our first consultation w/Peggy Lyn, she advised us to find a house that we wanted to move into ASAP because she was going to sell our townhouse very quickly. Being the skeptic that I am, in not so hot market (at the time), and against her recommendation, I asked her to sell my house first then we will look for a new one. The last thing I could do was hold two house notes at the same time. Well, let’s just say I turned out to be the not so smart one. After following Peggy Lyn’s expert advice on staging the house (it looked incredible), we put it on the market on a Wednesday. It was under contract by Friday. She had sold it in two days!! Now the fun started. We needed a place to move into, fast. Peggy Lyn had the foresight to push our closing on the townhouse out far enough to give us the time to find our ideal house. We had our hearts set on a house in a great neighborhood and we really thought we had the inside track to get it – unfortunately, it didn’t happen. Peggy Lyn then spent the next 6 weeks knocking on doors, turning over every rock, tracking down every lead and showing us every house that came on the market that met our criteria. I will admit, we were not the easiest clients in the world to deal with, we knew what we wanted and we were not going to settle for just anything. Peggy Lyn never once let our pickiness slow her down. She was determined to find us a house and she didn’t let anything get in the way of that goal. Needless to say, she got a bead on a house on a great street in an awesome neighborhood that was going to go on the market soon. She got us in to see the house a couple of days before it was listed and we loved it. We ran into some difficult sellers and at several points in the negotiations it looked like a deal was not going to happen. This is where Peggy Lyn really earned my unwavering loyalty. Buying and selling a home is very emotional and we had just spent 8 weeks searching, viewing, bidding, and losing out on houses and we were at our wits end. Peggy Lyn never gave up on us and kept us focused on the big picture – getting into our new home. She brought to bear her extensive industry expertise and guided us to a successful close. We couldn’t be happier with the services that Peggy Lyn and the entire Speicher team provided. If I ever decide to move again, the only person I will ever use to sell and buy a new home is Peggy Lyn.

My wife and I loved working with Chris and the Speicher Team. They were recommended by my wife's agent in VA who did not practice in MD. We're glad we met and worked with Chris and his wife, Peggy Lyn. to find our new home. The Team is great and back each other up whenever needed. While Chris was definitely knowledgeable about the area and the home buying process, his responsiveness was definitely his #1 quality. If I could have given more than 5 stars for responsiveness, I would have. I probably sent Chris over 100 e-mails during the whole process and his response to each one was received minutes later. Even last week, which was months after closing, I e-mailed him several questions and he answered within minutes. It's hard to find professionals with his combination of courtesy, knowledge, and responsiveness.
The Speicher Team showed us all kinds of homes, including short sales and foreclosures. The house we ended up buying was a foreclosure. Chris was able to help us by explaining the foreclosure process and what we needed to watch out for. I would definitely recommend Chris, Peggy Lynn, and the rest of the Speicher Team to anyone in the area!…More Less
