What is the best way to remove that unmistakable smell of cigarette smoke from a home?
Answer
Smoke gets into places that people neglect to treat. To properly rid a home of smoke (or even strong food aromas), you should wash all curtains/drapes or replace them, wash the walls down with a light detergent (assuming the walls are satin, semi gloss or shiny...not FLAT or EGG SHELL). If necessary, repaint the walls. Third, shampoo all carpet and mop all hard floor surfaces. Last, burn fragrant candles for a few days to treat ceilings. After all of this....it is important to not smoke indoors to undo all of your hard work:-)
